Weird sequence in the Washington-Titans game.
The ref stands in front of Daniels, not letting them take a snap and run the play clock all the way down. Daniels tries to take timeout, they don't acknowledge it. They throw a flag and then it was for 12 men in the defensive huddle.

Awesome first half by Drake Maye. His OL got called for 5 holds. Hit many tight window throws and showed exactly the type of mentality people have wanted from Bears QBs over the years as he has surveyed the field and taken the check down when nothing is there. 200 all purpose yards in a tight game vs a team that Caleb did nothing against until the 4th QTR

That really doesn't look any worse than what they allowed to be done to Fields when he was a Bear that people excused as late slides.
If you pause it he starts the slide and one frame later the defender is launched.
It's funny how much players don't want to punish Williams when he slides like they know they'll get hit if they injure him.
I'm amazed launching yourself at a QB like that isn't a flag. If you think they're running when you launch you're taking out their knee, or you know they're sliding and are aiming for their head. The launch/hit is not going to stop anything because the play is dead when the slide starts.
It sucks because players like that are the cause of the continued pussification of the NFL.
