good player, but fans need to let go of the 2010 players.
As far as buff is concerned, I am 100% glad he is gone! all the meatballs cried when we traded him all because he showed up in a series against vancouver.

Going to be working on my next article with the next game in mind.
Looking to do a review of the Ladd and Byfuglien trades that Stan Bowman was forced into a couple summers back. In my opinion, one was a good trade while the other the Blackhawks would love to have back. Hopefully I'll have the article done by tomorrow.

There isnt much that needs to be said. It had to be done, we got a lot in return to keep growing this franchise.
Ladd is the only one out of that class that was worth anything.

buff sucks
burish sucks ( but he has fire and passion and stuff )
fraser sucks
sopel was serviceable, block shot king
Losing campbell has its pos/negs, salary is gone...but defense will take a hit. and no, leddy is not brian campbell esque yet.

^^^ to me there is a lot more to it. All the draft picks have been made, new contracts handed out, Buff switched positions, prospects have grown and left...so I think there is some interesting stuff to look into. Don't worry, I'll try and slip the word 'meatball' in there somewhere.

anyway, it still had to be done. it isnt like the hawks lost on those deals. the players that were moved were VERY replaceable pieces.

I agree it had to be done, everyone that knows there is a salary cap knows it had to be done. I do think the Hawks ended up losing badly on one deal, but hard to blame the Hawks for it. Also, as we saw last year...those players were not very replaceable. Though, some were obviously missed more than others.
