My favorite teams
The city of Chicago has been besieged by bad teams with horrible management.
Cubs
Fired their manager(Ross) after the 23 season then paid $40 million for another one(Counsell)who won exactly the same amount of games as Ross. Owner(Ricketts) is easily swayed by a GM (Hoyer) who does virtually nothing but sign other team's castoffs. The ultimate dumpster diver.
White Sox
Fires their manager mid season after a terrible start then watches replacement do even worse. Worst record in the history of MLB.
The owner then announces he is cutting salary.
Blackhawks
Fires their coach even though they have a terrible team that no one could save. With new coach, they played eaxctly the same way they've played all season. GM getting free reign from owner brought in a group of past their prime players which changed the average player age to just under 30 for a team in a youth movement. A team that is awful offensively became actually worse at scoring. Following in Hoyer's foot steps?
Bears
Fires head coach for the first time ever in mid season. While the firing of Flus was well deserved, it was done haphazardly not taking into account that he was also the team's DC...a job he was pretty good at. The interim HC took a beating so bad that his chances of keeping the job are nil. Of course, this is nothing new for the worst organization in the NFL and possibly all of sports.
Bulls
Only team that didn't fire their coach. The GM built a poorly matched team which means Donovan isn't completely at fault for being mediocre but they not only didn't fire him but they extended him. Of course, the owner is the same owner of the White Sox which explains a lot.
Total number of post season games won by all 5 teams over the last five years.........3
It's amazing how many people still invest in tickets to watch these teams.
