I give it two days before the team turns on him and his 1987 schemes approach

One would think JC deserves a stint back in the AHL, or perhaps as an assistant on someone's staff, before getting to be a bench boss again, much less for the Canadian Olympic team.

I'll just be waiting for a timeout when he hands the players the board again to write up a play. Also in another article they ask him if he;ll try to coach more his style than what Julien had planned. I'm thinking just go with his plan why try to change it up now just go with what systems he had in place (Julien was a Stanley Cup winner for a reason!) and just work off that with a few things that you want to implement if things aren't working from there. But judging by how his time was in Chicago, he';ll think he can actually take this team and make it his own even with the little prep time he's had. HOPE NOT!

Well if you put it that way, it actually sounds rather intriguing.
It's what keeps me interested in the 'hawks during the lean years. If you can't enjoy them playing well, learn to laugh at them playing poorly.

And I agree with @Savard18 : I do want to see if a player yoinks the white board away from him :D.

I honestly think that was the nail in the coffin for him, when he did that. I mean, it probably wasn't the first time a coach all but deferred to his star player (didn't he hand it to Cat? can't remember now), but to do so that blatantly, in front of the entire team, was just mind-blowing. I guess it's easier in a sport like football, where if the coach grabs his star QB, he can kind of pull him away from every other player, so the entire team doesn't see he's all but relinquishing control in the moment. Anyways, I don't blame anyone for thinking Colliton will lay an egg, but then again, this is Team Canada. He's going to obviously have the best players at his disposal, I have to think that maybe, even he won't **** that up, lol.

With the NHL pulling out of Olympics my $ is on the Iranians.
Did the KHL pull out?
Did the Swedish Hockey League pull out?
Did the Swiss League pull out and block the Germans?
Chech?

North America is fucked and everyone else is only slightly weakened.
The U.S. is hurt by far the worst, because Canada can send a competitive group of Vets and Kids.

I think you underestimate the amount of talent a team like sweden has in the NHL. It would have been NHL players only.
Is it the entire NHL pipeline or are AHL and OHL/CHL players eligible?

The KHL is the next tier in national leagues and favored to win in Vegas and have before in this scenario.
Then I think scandonavia or chech area have teams capable of winning in any year. Will Hossa play?

Swiss are the new kids on the block with a German interest growing.
