Hearing: Veteran guard Mike James on way back to Chicago after stint in Dallas. Signing deal with Bulls this week, I'm told, to go to camp

Happy everyone?

another point guard?...i thought the reason we let nate go was because we had to many PG's

Pittman and Mike James are just camp signings. Still open for that 13th man.

That would seem to be the case. I mean a fourth string point guard, I don't think they want to give James seasoning as a future assistant coach that bad.

The best scenario is they will sign a big man as the 13th and it will be a veteran but not until the end of the pre season when teams are cutting loose veterans to avoid having contracts become guaranteed, making sure their draft picks can play some minutes and generally getting down to as few players as they have guaranteed. The other thing is those teams with veterans that they don't want are going to hang onto them hoping to find a team that is desperate and will take one for a future second round pick. The Bulls will just wait them out.

I'm all in for signing either Tyrus or Malcolm Thomas. ...

Doubt there are better players left.

or preparing for a trade....you never know.....but Kirk or Teague could be on the block in any package involving Deng, Mirotic, or draft picks depending on what we are getting back and all
