What can the Hawks do to gain more market share of the younger generations?

Literally everyone knows that the kids LOVE football, and some hipsters are into the soccer, but sports like MLB and NHL are really struggling with youngsters. MLB is too boring, slow paced, games go on way to long and really, it sucks unless you are playing the sport, love math, or are drunk, or need a nice nap.

NHL? I think we all can agree that it is WAY too fast for kids with ADD. They can barely focus long enough to appreciate the development of plays, just watching the puck whizz around and players crashing into eachother. It's fun and all, but only for like 2 or 3 minutes (not including playoff hockey, that shit rules)

They got rid of the fighting which was probably the WORST thing they could have done, especially while MMA has become such a big deal.

So what can the NHL and in particularly, the Blackhawks do to get the young folks in the seats, or watching on the TV?

Will the NHL ultimately die off as boomers start to go into old folks homes?

UMNMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I didn't look too closely but i don't think it broke it down by age demographics.

Also, I may need to clarify - I'm talking about AMERICAN millenials and gen z. Not some slovaks or kids from canada who have nothing to do but play around on frozen ponds with sticks and pucks.

Imagine if the NHL only had American players, they wouldn't even have enough for 3-4 teams LOL. The fact that they have to import 99% of their players from other countries should tell you how many kids in the USA actually like hockey LOL. Gosh, if it was only American 18-20 somethings playing in the NHL literally ONLY boomers would watch it.

Need to do a better job marketing their stars, the biggest and therefore best of those being the 3 time Stanley Cup Champion, 2 time Olympic Gold winner and 2010 Conn Smythe Trophy winner Captain Jonathan Toews

Isn't Toews like 45 years old now?

I have a couple of ideas:

1. Bring the fighting back. Get a real enforcer/goon type player and let him go absolutely berserk every single game, but at random times, and not the entire game. That will keep kids glued to the whole game.

2. Modify the hockey sweater into more of a jersey. It's not like it has to cover up the pads and what not. Sweaters are too bulky and sloppy looking even when there's pads and chit underneath. I'm thinking more of a tank top style jersey that people can wear all year around. Only ****ing weirdos would wear a hockey sweater in the Summer.

3. Shoes. Have the players have dressing room sneakers that they market. Kids love sneakers. Aint nobody going out and buying hockey skates to go clubbing in.

Blackhawks need to bring back the FLYING V like the Mighty Ducks did back in 1992.

First of Captain Toews is only 31 years young.

Second of all fighting is for slack jawed nitwits. The NHL only allows it to pander to the lowest common denominator. How much of a mouth breathing meatball does one have to be to want to watch two grown ass men having a go at it? Probably the same dweebuses that watch WWE every night. Beat your opponent on the scoreboard!

Also speak for yourself on the skates, I frequently wear skates around in public and I never leave the house without them on during the winter. Whenever I encounter a slick stretch of pavement, I just keep skating along instead of falling on my bum like your sorry ass. Sorry they’re not fashionable enough for you but I think I look real swell in them.

Literally not a thing. WWE is on only two nights a week.

Also... literally no one watches WWE anymore. AEW is where it's at.

I'm not a boomer though and neither is MassHavoc.
Then you think you'd guys would be able to come up with some suggestions on how the Hawks can improve their product for younger fans instead of dismissing the topic

AEW has every wrasslin fan going crazy because 90% hate Vince McMahon. If you try to watch an AEW Dynamite show, it is just terrible in ring. But Turner will make money with it for a while and tire again leaving Vince to be the monarch again.

As far as how that compares to hockey, well, its an acquired taste. You either like it or hate it. Eventually you get to the point in your life where you realize men like Hockey and boys like the other sports.

I see tons of young Hawks fans out there. Only a competitive team will keep them around though.
My suggestion to improve the product? Dump Stan and JC. What do boomers have to do with that?
