I just was wondering what parts of fall people like. I like football and of course the start of hockey season. Some of my favorite people have birthdays in the fall. Of course Thanksgiving is always awesome. What do you guys like?

I hate Fall. Least favorite season of the year (when you only have 4 to pick from though it doesn't say much).

I simply don't like the color of rust.

Bright side is corn is fucking amazing in the fall. Food in general is great in the fall in my opinion. Hockey season starting def a bonus and I do like evenings in the Fall. I like the cool air of fall.

I love the changing of the leaves and hockey season starting and of course Thanksgiving. It is a season of such beauty , but I am always overcome with a sadness when all the leaves are gone and everything looks so dead and lifeless.

When I was in my early 20's it was byfar my favorite season. The days were shorter, which gave me longer nights and I wore my pimp sweaters because I do not like wearing jackets but of course no sweaters now...I would look like a bear walking around.

Even though I am no where near in my 20's now, I still rate fall as the best season..great sleeping weather, all four major sports are playing, Thanksgiving with 4 days off, leading into Christmas and if it planned right 2 weeks off.....it is the perfect season when winding down the year.

Spring is rated #2, I would rate Summer higher but I do not like sweaty testes. Winter would be perfect but it snows, I can deal with the cold but keep the snow...I am no longer a kid and don't find it fun to play in.

Never been a big fan of fall, growing up it always meant it was time to pull out a half suit to go surfing as the water was getting colder. And having to rake all the fucking leaves in the yard....said **** it yesterday and just mowed over them.

The Fall is a great band.

Love the season too. Living in South Texas the cool weather is great and my electric bill drops significantly when I can turn off the AC and open the windows. Not much color change to speak of here.

I would actually have to say fall is my favorite season and spring my least favorite.

It is my ideal weather. Cant explain it I love the temp, I like it getting dark earlier, I like the color, I am just really happy around this time of year.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I like the fact that the rain and fog comes back to the Pacific NW, along with the shortening of the days, and like clockwork, Seasonal Affective Disorder hits the California Transplants. If we're lucky, a few of them will off themselves making our roads safer.

I love this time of year--mainly because I'm not a sun or warm weather person (In fact I don't mind it at all if it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I return home).

Tailgating... I love tailgating. And it's best in the fail when it's not too cold that you freeze your ass off, but it's just cool enough to put on that big sweatershirt and not be burning up from the booze your pouring in your face.

I know this sounds weird, but the smell of burning leaves is awesome. The other smell that rocks is a candle burning in a jack-o-lantern.

Cooler temps. I am fluffy as some of you know. Regardless I run hot even when I am in really good shape. So I love being able to wear a long sleeve shirt and jeans or a light jacket and not sweat my fucking nuts off.

I also like rainy, gloomy days with leaves blowing around. I plan on using my backyard firepit a few Friday and Saturday nights too, and in St. Louis you really don't need to use one during the summer. Especially this past summer where it was 90 at midnight for nearly all of June and July!

I miss mid to late fall in LaGrange and going to football games and hearing good deep rock music from grunge artists. Like November Rain, or stuff off the Ten album from Pearl Jam. Basically how I grew up, yo.

Awe man, you brought up something I can't believe I forgot, fireplaces. I love them. I'd make fires year round if it wasn't so dumb. I too am "fluffy" to where I like being able to wear full length stuff without sweating balls.

We have an electric and gas fireplace in the living room but don't really need it or use it unless it is super cold outside.

I edited my post though to say that I was referring to our outdoor fire pit that has a four foot internal diameter. It is huge! We built it by hand and made a nice pathway from the deck to it. It is great for chatting with the neighbors who we normally only talk to for a few minutes once a week.

I have some cinder blocks set up in a roughly circular on the back acre. We have regular fires during the fall/winter when burning outside is permitted.

Yeah I definitely want a fire-pit at my place one day if I have that ability. For now since I'm in mostly apartment type housing, I'll have to stick with one that has a fireplace, but I've only had one place that does.

Love that football and hockey are going strong, but hate it because now I have to Put my cars away and my bike.
