If it brings his bat to life, The glove needs to suck it up.

Amen...for a long time, if I remember, Frank Thomas insisted on being 1B because he said it helped him at the plate. It seemed to work for him...

You act like he's an awful 1st baseman. Give me a break.

no. not at all. he's top-notch. He's so flexible, agile, and graceful. And i'm sure he'll be able to stop all those throws in the dirt from Alexei like PK can.

-48.4 UZR/150 is awesome.

What I hear is that they're actually going to try him in LF (correct me if I'm wrong) which could be even more awesome.

LOL...nice. Though, Sox fans are used to a shitty outfield, so whatever.

The most important question is whether Dunn's bat will outperform his mistakes in the field. If he hits like an All-Star again, put him in center field for all we care

Or spell Becham, Morel, AJ, the Starting Pitcher. If he can bat, he can defend anywhere he wants for me

Actually, if we're being sort of serious, if you did want Dunn in the field on certain days you're best to hide him at LF or 1B where he'll do the least damage to your defense.

That's what I've been hearing as well. That makes for a crowded outfield situation with De Aza, Viciedo, Rios, Fukudome and Dunn all vying for time out there. Hopefully Dunn can get in an offensive groove early and him playing the field won't matter too much.
