Wow! If we landed Masahiro Tanaka in 2014 and Clayton Kershaw in 2015, we would have a beast starting pitching lineup. :buttrock:

That's a big if, seeing as ownership has coerced management into building a winner on nickels instead of dollars.

Ticket prices would make the Yankees look like High School prices

The cubs have to actually spend money for either of your possibilities.

Last I checked, big market teams pretending they're small market teams wont spend because their genius fanbase buys the bullshit that there's no point of spending to be competitive when you have a top 5 farm system.

Do me know how it goes in mlb2k

I think the Cubs have a better chance of signing Hitomi Tanaka instead of Masahrio Tanaka.

That would be great. The Cubs would already have a good rotation just by adding Tanaka.

Future rotation with Kershaw, Tanaka, Wood, Samardzija and Jackson would be pretty stacked considering Wood can be a number 2 on most teams as well as Samardzija and Jackson would probably be a number 3 on most teams.

Kershaw was resigned today which didn't decrease the odds of this happening any from yesterday. Thread closed.
