My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
What if after 2007 the Sox decided to hold on to their pieces and rebuild?

SP John Danks - Came in 2007
SP Gavin Floyd - Came in 2007
SP Dan Hudson - Never traded for Edwin Jackson
SP Clayton Richard - Never traded for Jake Peavy
SP Gio Gonzalez - Never traded for Nick Swisher
SP FautinoDe Los Santos - Never traded for Nick Swisher
SP Lance Broadway - Probably DFA'd at some point

RP Nick Massett - Never traded for Ken Griffey
RP Freddi Dolsi
RP Chris Sale -
RP Matt Thornton
RP Sergio Santos

C Tyler Flowers - Came in Vazquez deal, so he's likely to still be around unless they move Vazquez after 07' rather than 08'.
1B Brandon Allen - Never traded for Tony Pena :smh:
2B Gordon Beckham
3B Brent Morel
SS Alexei Ramirez
LF Ryan Sweeney - Never traded for Nick Swisher
CF Alejandro De Aza
RF Carlos Quentin - probably still brought in to have for the youth movement, moving Carter wasn't a big deal with Konerko/Allen blocking 1B anyhow.
DH Dayan Viciedo

C - Donny Lucy
UT - Brent Lillibridge -Came in Vazquez deal, so he's likely to still be around unless they move Vazquez after 07' rather than 08'.
IF - Omar Vizquel - gotta teach those youngins
OF - Brian Anderson [Defensive replacement]

Thoughts? Prayers? Anger?

Thats a good, young core to have. Just fill in the bullpen and that is a somewhat solid team for what it would cost you.

Love the pitching, puking on the offense. No Paulie? No AJ?

Pierzynski probably isn't brought back after 2008 anyway, I don't know who would of been the stop gap. Maybe Ivan Rodriguez for the sake of the young staff?

And looking back at Allen's numbers, they're not as good as I thought they were. So, maybe they do bring back Konerko for 2011.

I don't know. That would be pretty good, but I like some of the moves that have been made lately. Tough to say if they would be better. A good team on paper has nothing to do with how they play on the field.

Pitching is okay, but no power in the lineup. Add in Paulie and it's somewhat better, but IMO still wouldn't be enough to contend.
