I went to some of the 80s Big Hair bands when I was growing up, Scorpions, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Rat. When I was stationed in the pacific northwest in the early 90s I caught Jane’s Addiction and a few other shows but nothing ever compared to a local band that was on the rise. This band put out two albums and just when they were starting to get major label attention self destructed with infighting.

I must have caught over a dozen shows between Spokane and Seattle from 91-94 and they always rocked. The members are now scattered around the country and holding various jobs from minister to lawyer. A friend of mine told me that a social media effort was put together in 2008 to get these guys to do a reunion show. The members finally agreed to do 5 shows in 2010. All shows sold out quickly. This video is a lower key song but it shows the now middle age dudes during the reunion tour and how their now middle age fans still know all the lyrics to their songs haha.

I give you Black Happy, my all time favorite band to see live.

I saw comeback kid in Iowa city about 6 or 7 years ago and their vocalist announced it was his last show. Shit got pretty crazy and they played a super long set. Was awesome.

NHL playoff games in Calgary in 2004, best 2 months and 12 games I have ever been to. So I guess it's 12 best shows :) but I will say the fever never really got going until they beat Detroit, after that it was mayhem!!

Yep....

Springsteen in Milwaukee for Harley Davidson fest. We got there early to drink , Bruce came out and hung out w the early fans which was really cool and then went on to play for nearly 4 hours. We were exhausted at the end lol

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Washington Huskies
The most enjoyable was either Flogging Molly or GWAR.

The band that sounded the best was Stone Temple Pilots, though I've heard from others who've seen them that they were terrible. Maybe I just got Scott Weiland on a night when he wasn't destroyed.

To go local, one of the most fun gigs I've ever enjoyed was Lil' Bryan and the Zydeco Travelers at Famous Dave's in Chicago, I think it was 2001.

Most spectacular show - Rolling Stones, Steel Wheels Tour in Tampa Stadium. Best, most fun show - George Thorogood And The Destroyers every time I have seen them.

I saw Tool live twice on the same tour when I was in high school. It was the tour supporting Lateralus. They were extremely good from what I remember. Only other band that impressed me as much was Pantera but that was probably just because I was so pumped to see them.

The craziest concert I ever saw was probably the Pledge of Allegiance tour in Peoria. It was Slipknot, System of a Down, Rammstein, & a few other bands. Between sets the crowd was pulling the big floor tiles up off the ice. They were clearing big sections and people started running and sliding on the ice. Then, the crowd started holding the big sections of tile over their heads and people from the crowd started climbing up on top of it. Shit was crazy. I remember one chick got up on top and took all her clothes off and threw that
shit into the crowd. Butt ass naked and no clothes to put back on. Being 16 or 17 years old on the floor and a few joints in, it was aaaaaaamazing.
