What is your go-to meal that you can cook?

I usually go with Grilled Chicken and I use different marinades. I'm looking for some more stuff to experiment with cooking wise, so post up some good shit.

Chicken Caesar Salad. Cheap, quick, and always satisfying. I just use baby spinach instead of lettuce.

Yeah, I started that thread. Without looking it up, I think you're the one that posted a poblano chicken dinner. I made that one night not too long ago. It was an easy recipe. I'm going to go ahead and say yours was better than mine, but the meal itself was really good.

Go to that I can cook?
PB&J

You will need
  • 2 slices of bread
  • Jelly
  • Peanut butter
  • Knife

Step 1: Put as much jelly as you would like on one slice of bread.
Step 2: Put as much peanut butter as you would like on the opposite slice of bread.
Step 3: Take the slices of bread and push the slice with jelly on to the slice with peanut butter, making sure that the peanut butter and jelly sides of each slice are in the middle, NOT THE OUTSIDE.
Step 4: Here you can get a little creative: you can either cut it in half (diagonally or just straight down the middle) or cut it in fourths. I like to go with triangles but some enjoy squares. It really comes down to your personal preference.

There you go Rush, Enjoy!

I am a big fan of the crock pot on sundays.
A couple cans of beans, slice up some chicken breast, put in corn, onions, hunts diced tomatoes with chili seasoning( it is sometimes hard to find, but it is delicious. I usually find it at jewel), a packet of mccormicks chili seasoning, and a liberal application of chili powder, crushed garlic, some green peppers, red peppers, and let it go all day. (occasionally I will add some jalepeno juice for flavor).

Another really quick and good meal is teriyaki chicken fajitas.
I cube up the chicken and cook it in a pan with teriyaki, have another pan of onions and peppers, let em cook for a bit and slap it on a tortilla with lettuce and cheese.

Bone in pork chops with sauteed spinach. Season the pork chops (I like using a combo of montreal steak seasoning and chili powder) and cook them either on the grill or on the stove top in a pan with olive oil (grill in the months where the weather is nice or if I have thick cut chops and the pan when its cold out or the chops are a little thinner). a couple minutes before the chops are done cooking sautee the spinach with olive oil, garlic, and chopped onions...as it is cooking season with some salt and pepper. When they chops are done cooking squeeze some lemon over them and sprinkle oregano on top, put the spinach to the side and viola dinner is served. and if I have tomatoes and cucumbers I make a true greek salad. in a bowl cut up the tomatoes and cucumber, add the left over chopped onion (what wasn't used for the spinach), feta and olives, season it with extra virgin olive oil (I use some oil I have shipped from the mother land) salt pepper and oregano.

oven baked ribs.....so ridiculously easy and tastey

mix 4 cups of your favorite bbq suace and 4 poinds of pork spare ribs in a large mixing bowl
cover and let sit in fridge for 4 hours
preheat oven to 350
heat skillet with a light amount of oil
take out ribs and lightly sear in frying pan
place ribs in single layer baking pans
lightly coat ribs in bbq sauce
place in oven and bake for 3 hours - turning meat every 30 minutes and lightly basting in bbq sauce
The last hour do not re-coat ribs just turn

pan searing is optional
