So the Chicago Bulls went 7-2 through the first nine games of the tough 20 prior to all-star break. It was a very good record, marred only by the two losses in games you would have expected them to...

Hopefully the Bulls will play better on the road, those game might hurt the Bulls in the future.

I'm happy w/ the 3-sd honestly...anywhere in the top 3 is good...especially if 1 ends up being Miami. I just don't think we match up well w/ them...and would rather play Orlando or Boston prior to meeting the Heat.

i should premise this with i dont think the magic can win a 2nd round series.

I think the 3rd seed will be hell. First we play the knicks in the 3rd seed v 6th match up. The knicks will have billups, fields, melo, STAT, turiah, with douglas at the 1 2 back up, mozkov and renaldo balkman. It's not a championship team, but it's a tough match up.

Next we face either the heat or celtics. This is going to suck. at the 2-3 match up.

Finally we face the celtics or the heat with the 1-3 match up.

From what i can gather, the 3rd seed is going to suck the most. You're going to have to beat 3 quality teams while the 2nd only face 2 quality teams and 1 crappy/mediocre team. The second seed should face the 6ers, us, and the first seed.

The first seed has it far easier. They have to face a crappy 8th seed, The magic, and whoever beats the 2nd/3rd seed.

Well that's kind of the point of being the first seed...easier schedule.

Yeah, i know. I'm just trying to point out that the 3rd seed is going to be the toughest match up, because we're going to have to face 3 championship level teams. Really the 2nd seed sounds okay, but the bulls have a really good chance of ECF at the first seed.

I don't think there's much difference between a 2 or 3 seed. In theory a 2 should beat a 7 and a 3 should beat a 6. In the second round the 2 seed plays the 3 anyway, so unless the 6 seed is much better than the 7 seed, It shouldn't make much difference.

Right now, the 6 seed is the Knicks (28-26) and the 7th seed is the 76ers (27-29). There is a big jump from 6th to 5th with Atlanta at 34-21, and the Magic at 36-21 so the 4th/5th matchup is the one you want to avoid.

Now if the Knicks get Carmelo Anthony (and stay the 6 seed), that could be a big problem for the 3rd seed.

I'm not that worried, with Noah coming back we'll be more than ready.
Our road record will also improve, provided that Boozer won't also get injured...

Knicks got Melo...now we definitely don't want the 3 seed...
