What types of bullying did you witness in high school?

Or middle school for that matter. I'm just curious cause I was watching a film today in one of my film classes (for a gen. ed) and it was about bullying in a sense so I'm kind of curious how often it actually happens in real life oppose to in movies/tv shows/etc.

I've only witnessed cyber bullying and verbal bullying. I've never witnessed physical bullying though so I am curious on how often that does happen.

Bullying definitely happens in real life... in fact, me and my friends used to bully this kid in 7th and 8th grade. There was no reason behind it either.. we just did it because he was a new kid and an easy target. I felt terrible about it when we got in HS and I saw a kid getting bullied in the locker room [I stood up for that kid btw] Anyway, because I felt bad about it.. I wound up finding the kid me and my friends used to bully on Facebook.. added him, apologized and we've been pretty good friends since then.

I pretty much whooped everyone's ass and banged all the chicks because I'm hung like a zebra. If somebody parked too close to my car, I'd shit into a large Wendy's cup and sandcastled their hood with a nice brown tower.




But seriously..... bullying is bad. There was a lot of hazing with athletics, especially my wrestling squad.

The wrestling team at my school got caught hazing (sexual assault charges) while I was there. It made the news & was a huge scandal.

I honestly can't remember a time I actually saw someone getting bullied though. It seemed everyone got along with each other or just didn't care enough to bully people they didn't like. We had the occasional fight break out, but that's just from talking shit to each other, which I wouldn't consider bullying.

I've never seen physical bullying to be honest. I've never seen anyone threaten someone if they don't give them something or like that. I've seen plenty of verbal abuses but nothing like the shit you see on TV and movies. I am curious if anyone has seen any of the shit they show on TV when they were in high school themselves.

I don't consider fighting bullying, fighting is fighting. Bullying is to me is simply when one takes advantage of another and the person being taking advantaged of doesn't do anything about it at least in a physical aspect. The person doesn't report, doesn't see a counselor, he or she just gives in.

I saw a lot of bullying for for homework and for cheating, etc. Some kids would threaten the smarter kids if they wouldn't let them copy their homework or cheat on their tests and of course there's always the teasing and making jokes at the expense of the "nerdier" kids and the ones who aren't as "cool" as the others.

At the final exam for my Physics class I was sitting down, and both the seats next to me were open. A guy who played tight end for the football team asked me how I was doing in the class and if he and his buddy could sit down next to me. His friend was a starting linebacker and eventual NFL draft pick. Now, I'm not certain I was actually bullied in this instance, nor do I know if they copied off of me.

I ended up getting a D, he ended up making 2.5 million dollars. Not sure who won that one...

My best memory of bullying was when I was in grade school and a group of about 3 kids kept taking my hat and gloves (it was winter) and tossing them around. I finally got pissed and chased one of them around. I tackled him onto the cement and took my hat back while he was laying on the ground crying. They left me alone after that.

There was another kid who was a grade ahead of me that had a habit of kneeing kids in the crotch/stomach. He actually lived a few houses away from me and we eventually became sort of friends.

One of his friends who lived in the neighborhood was also a bully. While playing football one day I threw the ball into his face. Twice. He got pissed and chased me around while I was literally LOL. I finally stopped and he kept slapping at me. I was blocking it and still laughing when he eventually popped me in the nose. It didn't hurt but it was the moment I finally realized he was actually mad and not just playing around.
