I think they should start by NOT giving people food poisoning, BEFORE they try to master the bastardization of calzones.

They had calzones up here before these pizzadilla abominations. I think they were pre-made, and had that really sweet, sugary tasting dough


All I would ever order from the hut as an adult were the little personal pan pizzas.

I haven't had pizza, or crap like that in almost two years.

Wing Street is the origin of their terrible wings.

Cinnabon is the origin of their terrible cinnamon roll desserts.

They loaded their pizza sauce and all their other sauces with HFCS.

The breadsticks are smaller, dry, and dipped in a tiny sauce cup filled with tomato flavored sugar paste.

The pizza is thinner, covered in shitty sauce, and cheese made out of 40% recycled plastics.

Have no fear though, because they have fries.

Do they cover the fries in dried crystalized HFCS that is more expensive than just using sugar?

I went off pizza hut when they sent Caesar slalad with maple bacon bits.

It's funny, in Alberta Dominos was pretty good, and pizza hut crap. The opposite in BC. Dominos inedible ketchup pizza, and pizza hut passable.

PH gives me the runs every time. If what you say is true about the HFCS, it makes sense why it sucks.

The Pizza Hut buffet as a kid was bomb af. It is awful nowadays tho. I don’t eat a ton of chain pizza joints but if I do it is the last place I’d pick

Agreed. It was pretty good in the 80s, even 90s, but quality wne to shit, as corporate used worse and worse ingredients to press their profit margins.

I actually worked at one in college, but quit after a few months when they paid min. wage and the work was terrible. Never work in a tip-based job that's in a less than good neighborhood. Mommas would come in, order 4 pizzas for their kids and tip $3. Not worth driving across town in the snow for that. They paid their drivers total shit less than min wage and didn't even give them gas money. Those P-Zones were introduced back then. 2000 or 2001 IIRC.

The worst thing I noticed is how much they spray those pans before putting the dough in. You can tell when it cooks and just becomes a grease sponge, rather than actual bready crust. It became empty flavorless grease foam. Bleh. Cheese got real bad too.

Shame, I really enjoyed earning those personal pans as a kid for reading books at the library and got star stickers on my button. It tasted better bec I earned it, but also because it was actual pizza, not processed greasy shit. End rant.

At least there's still privately owned Mom & Pop pizza places around. Now I'm hungry for (good) pizza. ?
