I think I saw a stat where the Big 3 was scoring 80 ppg in that Boston series and the rest of the team was scoring 16 or so ppg. What do you think we need to hold the big 3 to on average to win the series?

70

LeBron 25ppg
Wade 23ppg
Bosh 16ppg

I think that is what we should hold each player to, with a little room in between.

Then it really comes down to closing out on James Jones.

70 is a good number. But I also think there are different moving pieces. Part of me thinks what they did against Boston is irrelevant because I think our defense is better than Bostons. I also think if Boston would have likely defeated the Heat. You could really see the value of having a PG like Derrick Rose in watching Boston play the Heat. So, Im not so sure, the big 3 cant afford to get 80 still. I think if you lock down the other guys, the defense will be good consistently enough against the big 3 even while conceding them around 80 ppg. We have to be careful we dont sell out to stop the big 3 so much that it allows the lesser players to get going.

I like 70 if our offense is struggling a little. If our offense is hot, I think we can get away with giving them 75, but any more than that and we're in trouble.

I think if the Bulls can hold either Wade or James to around 20 points, the numbers will take care of themselves. Wade is averaging 26.2 ppg in the playoffs and James is averaging 26.1 ppg, so it won't take a herculean effort to hold either one of them to 20, but they can't allow the other to get 30 plus or they lose that edge.

I would say 70. If we can get around 60ish that would be really good but 75 at most then I think it will help us a lot.

around 70....it will be a low scoring series around the 90 or 95 mark...the key to winning is forcing d wade and lebron to score all the points by negating the other options because wade and lebron like going on isolation plays...which will not work very well with the bull's defenders

Also gotta make those guys be jump shooters, can they shoot, yes butwhen they drive thats when they are obviously the most effective.

Remember, its not a number. It fg% if wade and james each score 30 but shoot around 40% while doing it, the bulls won the battle. And TOs. If wade and james dominate the ball, we nneed to force them into avg about 4-5 a piece.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Ideally, I would like to see the Bulls shutdown Wade, however they have to do it. I can't see James and Bosh both scoring 30 every night. With that being said, I want the magic number to be 50, but realistically, I want it to be 70.

I was reading something (I'll try and find the link) that if the Bulls just keep Wade and Baby Bron-Bron from driving the lane and keep them out around the perimeter for long jump shots, the Bulls' defense should take care of the rest and keep those two to about 23-25 points a game.

But Miami has no real bench so if the trio are held to under 70 and the benchmob plays like they have been, it shouldn't be a real problem.

LeBron, Wade Reveal How Strongly They Considered Signing With Bulls

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade admitted they strongly considered signing with the Bulls.

"It was two mornings," Wade said at Friday's practice of waking up during the summer of 2010 envisioning himself with Chicago.

"I definitely had one or two mornings where I woke up thinking I'd be a Bull too, but ultimately I decided to come here," James said.

Wade grew up in Chicago and admired the Michael Jordan teams of the nineties.

"It was flattering," Wade said. "I grew up in the city and grew up with my dreams of becoming an NBA player with the Chicago Bulls. They gave a great presentation, great opportunity. I just felt that the Miami opportunity was better. That's what it came down to."

"I think it was very close," said Wade's agent Henry Thomas to ESPNChicago.com. "We obviously -- before the process started -- we talked about how we were going to handle it. Once we began and once the presentations were made, the Bulls' presentation was as good as any -- if not better.

"The decision became a lot more difficult than he imagined how it would be. Obviously for him the Chicago one was special because he grew up here. As a young kid, he idolized Michael [Jordan] and all those teams. I know when we went in for the presentation, they had a uniform with his name and number on it. As a kid growing up here you dreamed of having that uniform on. For that reason it was difficult."

When asked about his meetings with the Chicago front office, James spoke highly of them as well.

"It was definitely flattering," James said Friday. "It was a great meeting with that team and that franchise knowing the history. There was great things that they said but at the end of the day, I felt like this was the best opportunity for me to win a championship. It was a great experience."

I want Dwade and Bosh to be shut down or be controlled. LBJ can shoot all he wants (but of course he will still be defended well) it's better for me to see him go one on one and disregard his teammates. But i think Dwade is the key for the heat if he's having an off night and Bosh out of his scoring avg then we are in good shape. Forcing one of their superstars to dominate the ball means less ball movement and lesser bench support.

That being said i predict the Bulls will limit the heat with an avg of 75 ppg.
