I loved the Noah pick too and tried to talk people I know off the ledge. I was a little worried he'd let me down but he has lived up to what I sold him as and then some.

But Im a huge Florida Gators fan, which should be considered, so Im admittedly biased in that regard.

Here's another candidate:

Some times you have to wonder if there are cosmic forces that like the Bulls. Jordan falls to us at 3. And then we have a 1.7% chance to get Rose and it happened.

Weve had some bad luck too but overall, weve had some pretty good breaks.

it was...

...kinda....

We should have a Jordan era reminisicing thread. I would propose we also include the 2 years he was retired in there. And it should be stickied.

I don't have a vid for this...

..but the entire 2009 1st Round Series vs. Boston is mine. I know, unspecific but, think about how incredibly nuts we went as fans that series. I loved the effort & enjoyment the team had with it. Ask any of the players involved on both sides & they'll prolly tell you how special of a series it was.

We'd have loved to win, but it was easily won of the great 1st Round series ever.

The thing that made it so gratifying was that we had no business making it that close. What made it work was that our guys wanted it. It was incredibly gratifying to see them not back down.

Great thread, better moments. I probably would have chosen the Jo and1 as well. I never screamed so loud in my life for a Bulls game.

Noc's 7 points in like 13 seconds against the Heat when we swept them also comes to mind. Many great Ben Gordon moments, whos been my favorite player for years until we drafted Rose.

I hated the Noah selection, it took a good season and a half for me to like him.

But i think im with Brahma on this one, that whole playoff series against the Celtics was the definition of "NBA: where amazing happens". 7 total overtimes, 7 game series, ridiculous. Ive been wishing the NBA would come out with the series on DVD. It was only a 1st round series with no championship for either team but it deserves its on video. Thats how epic it was. It has the sports world buzzing and no one wanted it to end.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
Can I just say the entire Bulls-Celtics series? That was the best basketball I have seen in a long time.

on 'The Dunk'....my favorite moment is Doc Rivers...hunched over....in disbelief...that JO-NO just did that to his team.

Well the whole Boston Celtics not having their future HOFer and best player on their team kinda helped too.

Awesome series none the less, but let's not ignore that bit of "balancing" towards the Bulls side.

Yeah but we were missing Deng. I recognize that Garnett is a better player, perhaps, but that doesnt mean Deng wasnt just as or almost as important to the Bulls as Garnett was to the Celtics at that time.

And even knowing Garnett was out, numerous analysts were predicting a sweep or the Bulls losing in 5.

Plus, as defending champions, it seemed like the Celtics got a lot of calls.

Sorry, but I dont by this idea that the Bulls caught a break.

:smh:

You're actually serious? Hmmm.... Kevin Garnett is a Hall of Famer. He's by and large a top 50 player of all-time. You're absolutely out of your mind if you are attempting to put them in the same universe of the NBA.

I somewhat see your point about importance, but it's not like many teams, even if they have 2 other great supporting players can really withstand the loss of their absolute by far best player. Deng getting hurt (huge surprise there) is nowhere near on the same wavelength as losing your future Hall of Fame, absolute best player on your team.

Regarding the actual series, yeah they still played a great series don't get me wrong, it was well played competitive and extremely excited. I'm just pointing out that series is a sweep or a 5 gamer with a healthy Kevin Garnett aka the best player on their team.
