I have watched a few of his recent films that were just utter strait to dvd shit.

WTF happened to him? I find it funny since he won an Oscar and say Will Smith who only generates blockbusters has not.

You could say the same thing about Val Kilmer. Also, didn't Nick Cage do a B-Movie (Bad Lieutenant) but I think thats because hes just piss broke and will do anything for money.

They all do that kind of stuff from time to time. Or they live off their millions from one or two awesome jobs. Or they quit and get real jobs. It sucks being an actor because you can lose favor so damn fast and never get work.

Its almost like being a pro athlete and having your career cut short by a bad injury. Make mills, live high on the hog....then boom, crash, crumble, you are sleeping on someone's couch or moving in with your aging parents to 'take care of them'.

I have never really considered him a A list actor. Adrian Brody won an Academy Award too, but you don't see him in many blockbusters. I thought his best performance was in Radio.

Yeah.... when was he ever not a B Movie star? Even in the good movies he was in, he wasn't the lead.

A few good men...

Outbreak....

Jerry McGuire... (You may try to argue this one, but he isn't even mentioned on the box cover header, just a supporting role)

As Good as it gets...

You can pretend Radio, all you want, but that movie sucked, and it was a bad performance. People liked it cause it was a feel-good story, and you don't find other movies with black guys playing the mentally challenged in mainstream.

So there you have it, Boyz in the Hood. That's it. And he was as much a co-star there as anyone. Hell, they all pretty much can take a backstage to John Singleton for the writing and directing. Groundbreaking movie. Not performance.

Maybe he should have stuck with his brother and hosted shows on Nickelodeon.
