The current articles being written for the site are a complete mess. Punctuation errors, redundancies, and countless run-on sentences are making them unreadable. Not to mention they do not contain a lot of thought or opinion, and are more or less just random statements and recaps. Savoir Faire's articles were always well written and conveyed ideas very well to the reader, why was he replaced? Can someone inform us as to why he has been absent recently?

Savvy's article writing was better than pretty much everything the Trib had been putting out -and also usually done before the guys there picked up on any sort of topic. I've been in his position in other topics on the net- so i can appreciate where he might be coming from.

If those guys ever lurk here --- all the best.

as long as this site allows writers, this debate will never go away.

argghhh i hate the whining about writers. jesus christ this is a fan forum with fan writers not professional journalists. if you want to read professional articles read the paper, espn etc.

Asking for professional journalism is not my intent. I simply want whoever has been writing the last few articles for the Hawks section to at least be using a 4th grade level of grammar. The last article in particular was an incoherent mess, that did not even have a purpose on top of the grammatical mistakes. I know no one will bring to the table what Savior did, but I think there should at least be a minimal standard as to what is posted on the home page of this site.

So who do you write for? Why are you not doing it?

I understand your complaint. But again this is a fan site. Some of the writers here are 15 our so, so what would you expect? Tim Sassone? There are so many articles about the hawks and other chicago sports teams that are by professional journalists, no point in reading these articles here if you are looking for pro journalists.

personally i like the fact that rush lets kids write and feel important. practice makes perfect.
