I took 5.

I think a lot of teams that built a roster with bigger names are going to find a tough time blending together as a unit and will come up lacking on defense. The Bulls kept what they had 2-6, Rose being out. But Hamilton healthy from the start, Bellinelli and Robinson can score much more consistently than Watson and Lucas III did. And Hinrich steps up the defense from Watson, even over Rose and Butler contributes more inside play and defense behind Deng than Brewer or Korver. Mohammed isn't the defender Asik was but he's a serviceable backup, plays hard and teams at least have to play defense on him unlike Asik who did nothing with the ball.

I know people wanted big moves to match what others did but I think fitting new people in as improvements over who played much of last year they can hold their own until Derrick returns.

I think they're gonna be a litttttttttttttttle better than that.

Probably. Realistically they're going to make the playoffs and then lose in the 1st round.

This team is going to struggle to score points and badly. Any game that Deng misses, the team basically becomes a D-League team. If Rose misses just the first half, we could finish 5-6. If he misses most of the year, it's very tough to imagine us even being close to the playoffs.

This year's team has much better balanced scoring. Robinson & Belinelli are scorers who will greatly improve the bench scoring which was a serious issue last season. Even with Rose out, our starting lineup is better than nearly 3/4's of the league. Add to that, one of the top 3 coaches in the league right now & I don't see anyway that team doesn't make the playoffs & be a 5 seed or up. I think people are seriously underestimating the potential of this team. No, we won't be championship contenders w/o Rose, but if he does make it back this season 100% before the playoffs & the team is at full strength, outside of Miami, there's no team that I feel could beat us in the East in a 7-game series.

The Bulls could collapse, and pull a Charlotte-like season. I'll still be watching every game.

idk why people are still saying this but Deng is not going to miss any games this year. Apparently no one got the memo that Thibodeau expects Deng to be ready for camp. Ain't NO WAY IN HELL Indiana will win the Central Division! I'm really confident that this team is going to surprise a lot of critics. Butler and Taj are gonna have breakout seasons, our bench is stronger offensively and defensively I believe we got better.

2012-13 Eastern Conference Standing Predictions
1-Heat
2-Celtics
3-Bulls
4-Knicks
5-Nets
6-Pacers
7-Hawks
8-Sixers
