If you could get any player from the history of the Bears and bring them in their prime to this team today to make the biggest impact, who would you bring to replace who?

Walter is obviously the first person people think of, but the backfield is already the strongest part of the team.

I'm saying Dan Hampton to take the Bullard/RRH spot. Constantly disruptive and a nightmare for offensive linemen anywhere across the line. A front three of Hicks, Goldman and Hampton would be formidable. The mediocre pass rushing corps would have as easy a job as you could get with the amount of double teams that front three would get. I think Hamp is the piece to make the defense special and improves this team the most.

Discuss.

I never watched those 80’s teams, so I’ll go with Julius Peppers in his prime.

EDIT: Changed my mind. Offense needs to get going. Brandon Marshall in his prime would be a godsend for Trubisky.

It has to be Richard Dent right?

Yeah, I'd say you put Dent in as whatever the primary pass-rush OLB designation is (elephant, joker, whatever the terminology). He'd have paired incredibly well with Floyd who's best attribute is his versatility.

Edge rusher but a tackle like Orlando Pace would really help our offense.

Man, I'd love to see what Urlacher could do on this defense. Hampton is a good choice, too.

But how about that 1985-ish Richard Dent to come in here and get nearly 20 sacks? That would be huge for our defense.

Dent is the winner for this team. You'd be improving over Acho by leaps and bounds and it's the most important position on the D. Floyd is then free to be the jack of all trades guy he was in college.

Good question Mick.

Nope, you want a pass rush, Dent, that guy was the fucking Colonel.

I say Erik Kramer, because it's 2018.
