White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen says he'd love to bring Jim Thome back to Chicago, according to MLB.com's Scott Merkin. Thome hit waivers yesterday.
you are the one that wanted him gone tool!

Sounds to me like Ozzie is under the impression Dunn isn't going to work there. At least this year....but a comment like that surely wouldn't sit well w/ AD.
Is that really how bad Adam Dunn is? We didn't have space on the roster for Thome with Kotsay and Omar as the DH, but now we have space? **** you Adam Dunn, **** you.
ozzie has to learn to keep his fucking mouth shut.
I dont see Adam Dunn being this player next season, I believe a move for Thome would be a couple of things.
1) PR move. He is beloved by sox fans
2) For the potential FAKE playoff run that we could make ( making sure people understand, I dont think they make the playoffs )
3) what gets buried in all of this is the future HOF player who has played in big markets (philly, chicago) and knows about expectations....He may have a vital role in helping Dunn get over this mental issue(s) that he is having. The Dunn thing is all mental at this point. He needs someone to maybe guide him.

I agree with your #1... PR has to be the main motivation for this potential move. Give everyone something to smile about because the team isn't making the playoffs this year. It's too bad he hit 600 already. That would have been a bright spot on this otherwise disappointing year (much like #500 was).
Unfortunately, bringing him back doesn't change the mistake that was made in getting rid of him. Ah well.
I'd be happy to have Thome for the last five weeks. Would Dunn then be off the playoff roster somehow you think?
I agree, no one did. I mean sure we thought he might need to adjust to being a DH and his numbers might not hit his career, but his line now? wow! its pretty bad.
The dude has never failed.
I still say a lot of the fans that were in the corners of their bedrooms beating off to pics of dunn that turned into dunn haters will be singing his praises come next year.
Put me in that category. Still. <3 Adam Dunn.
The same people that hate him hated PK in 07/08, and love him now. Morons.
I still don't see how the playoffs are out of the picture for the White Sox
