Stuck in the Sun-Times article about Rick Hahn possibly leaving for the Angels job is a section saying that SI.com is reporting that the Sox will offer Burls a 2-year deal:

Buehrle buzz

SI.com reported that the Sox will offer free agent Mark Buehrle a two-year deal. There’s a good chance, however, that Buehrle, who is coming off a four-year, $56 million deal, would have to settle for less money than what he could get on the open market. If left-hander John Danks -- who could be in line for $8-9 million in arbitration -- is traded, Buehrle’s chances of re-signing improve.

The Sox will only deal Danks for a large return, however.

Mark should take the hometown discount. Retire as a White Sox player.

I'm standing firm in saying that Danks and Buehrle will be in White Sox uniforms next year. Only Floyd will leave.

2 years at a discount? From appearances, that doesn't SOUND good. He will probably want a few more years for more security.

I hope that's true.

I saw an interview with him after the season ended and he was talking about how he wished he never talked about an early retirement. He said he made those statements when his kids were just born and thought he wouldn't get time with them as they grow up but now he realizes that he gets plenty of time with them and they want him to keep pitching.
