25 years old and my close family friend(Dads best friends' son) had a son 5 months ago... I love that little guy, I'm considered his uncle n I tell the parents anytime they need a babysitter; I'd love to take him in and watch my little man for the evening n watch some football(during fall). I get that they pee and poop n a lot of work is to be done, but I feel sorry for those that don't have any kids and are pushing 35+. I want my little footballs by 28-29 years old. I seriously picked the little man up and he was smiling n 'kickin and I almost started crying. My GF is 29 and has a 11 year old son(shes getting her masters, no sh-tty mom) and I love that guy like he was my own. So smart(got nominated to conference in Chicago for advanced IQ children) and so well mannered; I miss the dude so much when he's not over playing some Call of Duty with me and eating some popcorn.

All I'm sayin is I used to be terrified of kids, like I NEVER wanted any. I worked at a gym for 8 years and used to go in the kids room when the lady had to use the restroom. So I'd play with the little dudes for a bit.. Sometimes she'd get sick and wouldn't show up for work, so I'd have to watch the little kids for 2-3 hours.. It was awesome. When some weren't crying and bitching*ugh), I had so much fun with the other little kids.. They are so funny n fun to pick up and throw around. Made me want a little dude so much more being in there.. When that Sandy Hook shooting happened, I was watching the little dudes n then sitter came in room. I walked out and saw the TV with breaking news and how many kids got shot. I looked at all the little guys i was throwing around, lost my shit and man-teared in the bathroom.
Point being, I respect and admire those that have children. I look forward to the day I have my own and get to come home after a few brews n see my son/daughter laying down in there crib. I'm so going to be sleeping on the floor in same room lol

Playing/looking after other people's kids is a lot different than you're own.

PS, I don't have kids.
I didn't disregard that. Trust me, working at a gym in the subrubs/exoburbs; you meet many differnet walks of life who hate their marriages and life. But one thing i found in all that negativity is the love of their children and doing anything for them. I look forward to the day I'm with my woman who I love and we have a little football together.

Maybe because I have a very fractured family ,I look foward to stuff. Parents and I are very close but my brother is a distant place in south america with his wife so I don't give a **** about him, but if we had kids and he isn't hear i'd honest to god freak shit on him(he's bailed on my parents many times)... I have a reoccuring dream/idea that it's fall and I'm at my house drinking coffee n watching Bears pregame at 10 AM with my little kids just waking up while wife finish making breakfast. Before kickoff my brother and his kids walk in while my parents walk in too, while I grill up the grub right before kickoff with some good brews.

If that's not life, I really don't know what is. I look forward to those days.

So your plan for fatherhood is to spend that precious little window of time that working parents have between the end of their work day and the child's bedtime, in the bar.

You spend your whole life trying to give them a better life. Then they grow up and call you an asshole.

lol I think I meant more in line of "couples night/date night" and come home n see my little guys. I didn't imply I was going to be my Grandpa and just get loaded/bee in the bar every day.

I have a daughter who is going to be 5 in June. And a son who is going to be 1 in May.

Needless to say. They are the only reason I live.

And also, they are one of the reasons you guys don't see me on here everyday arguing about useless shit. Especially in the offsesson.

Some kids might do some guys here good. Give them perspective, and a reason to stop posting 24/7
