Just added these 3 beauties to my small collection. I am a firm believer that EVERYONE should own a good knife. Esp when out in naaaaaaaaaaaaaature....Gooooooooooooooulet!!! Best tool one can own and hell...bastards can save a life or two also. They can also takes lives so one must respect a knife and if one really wants to own and carry they MUST find the right knife for them with a comfortable grip and well constructed for safety purposes. I am not one who gets a feeling of power while carrying a knife and if you do..you probably shouldn't own one to be honest. They should be taken very seriously.

Anyone else have a strange addiction to knives or other sharp objects? Care to share some info? I am always learning more and more about different knives and origins etc etc.

I like Kershaws. Have never had an issue with them. But that top one the Colt Cobra is something special. German made and it's beautiful.

I've always wanted a good knife for things around the house and such, just never got around to buying one, and haven't justified it because I can open boxes with my keys. hah

I think I'm watching to much "Pawn Stars", "Storage Wars", "American Pickers" and that auction house show. I love seeing the antique weapons they find. If I was going to collect weapons it would be of that vareity. If I can just figure out how to come up with that disposable income I'll be set.

Heres a couple I have:

Gerber Mark II (I dont exactly carry this around unless I was hiking or something, it aint very concealable unless I use the leg holster under my pant leg). This thing will gut a mofo though, It has a 7 inch blade and is a foot long in total.

and the SOG Flash II is the one I always carry around, I keep it sharp as shit too, the other day I missed a spot shaving and a swipe from this thing before I went into work took care of it:

I have a ton more, I have a 1969 US Army utility knife(from a grandfather):

another fixed blade boot knife, a bunch of multi-tools, folding knives and swiss army knives.

My choice for middle of the night home defense. Decent steel grade, sharp and pointy as hell, thin enough blade to go between the rib gaps and long enough that if stabed from under the ribcage can punchture the diaphragm and a lung.

Google this and look at the images: "williamsburg governor's palace swords"

I would love to do this in a secret office or man cave. I love old heraldic crests, shields, coat of arms, and the swords that typically accompany them.

I have one 5 inch blade in the truck for personal defense. Nothing flashy or expensive but it has a nice grip, a tonto blade with lower shank serrations, and I am pretty sure I could kill a car jacker before he could pull the trigger. I learned a few things from people I worked with in the Army
<

If I was going camping (not at a campgrounds) I would be sure to bring a civilan model entrenching tool and a Serrated Hiking Machete.

Oh I like that Sog. What type of blade release is it?

I have a nice knock of swiss army knife. God knows how many times that has come in handy. I would love to get my hands on one issues by the Canadian Military or the American. Americans make amazing knives. I do like the German craftmenship but Americans know how to make an overall great quality knife.

That Gerber knife is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!! Scary but sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! I do prefer pocket knives but I would showcase a knife like that and would def bring that bad boy in a boot into the woods. That blade is flat out made for killing something.

I also have a sog flash 2.

LOVE it!

TCD, it is an assisted opener. Just a nudge on the thumb stud and it snaps open.

I had a trident tanto, just a bit bigger than the flash 2 and fit my hand a little bit better, but I lost it.

I also have a swedge I

It is a pretty good utility knife with potential to be a brutal slasher with the way it carries for me in "just in case" or "I really wanna slash up some mofos" situations.

THAT SWEDGE IS SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTT!!!! That blade is beautiful. NASTY KNIFE!!!

Should have guessed that Sog was assisted released I can see the lock. Just wanted to make sure as I am more or less new to the knife collecting.

My Kershaw in the pic is an assisted opener. Love it. I find assisted openers better than switch blades. Not sure why but I like that play much better and most of the switch blades I have owned the mechanics always seem to get funky after a while. I don`t trust switch blades..but I do like em.

I'm concerned about the number of guys on here that have switchblades. Are you guys going to have a rumble with the Nucks board? Remember to do it for Johnny.
