Who says Deng shouldn't be an allstar?

Whoever says he shouldn't should be ashamed of themselves.

Deng is the glue.......superglue that holds this team together, even in the absence of our number 1 player..

Deng gets all around stats, every night he steps out on the floor...
It may not be pretty, but he gets the job done.

YES HE DESERVES TO BE AN ALLSTAR.

Actually FirstTimer and RamitheBullsfan have clearly been bashing the idea of Deng being an allstar all week......and probably still feel the same way....I don't know what the hell more they want out of Deng...The man fills in our holes, and does alittle bit of everything to help our team win.....And he has to work harder than others in the league to do so.

I've spent countless hours on this site sticking up for Deng but Rondo and Josh Smith clearly deserved it more.

I can't say that Smith didn't deserve it.But someone has to be out.

Rondo this year deserves it too.

But you know what?

They both robbed by Paul Pierce and Joe Johnson.Their teammates.Not by Luol!

Joe Johnson absolutely deserves to be an all-star. He is flat-out better than Luol Deng. Josh Smith definitely is having a better season than Deng, as well. I'm very happy Lu got in, but (bias aside) all of Rondo, Smith, and Johnson deserve it more. Hibbert is the only all-star I can say for sure doesn't deserve to be there.

FirstTimer went as far as to say that Deng did not even deserve consideration. That is just crazy hater talk.

Deng is sort of borderline. The only guy who legitimately doesn't deserve to be an all-star is Hibbert. I could see a clear case for Deng over Pierce although I'm not sure how much I'm buying that. Smith definitely deserved to be an all-star this year more than Pierce or Deng. Johnson did, too, and luckily he got in.

It all comes down to the fact that Dengs a big part of a BETTER TEAM than those guys.
Its not all about personal stats, but how you get them and the importance it plays for the team your representing.
Deng trumps them in that right now. Dengs team is in first pplace and he's a big part of the reason why......especially tonight against a healthy Celtics team that we may face in the playoffs...Our #1 player is out and Deng takes over as team leader until he returns.

We all should be proud another Bulls player finally got his dues as an all-star selection. Especially with the work Deng puts in for this team.
