As long as it isn't the Cardinals, I am okay with any of them. I don't want the phrase "turnabout is fair play" happening.

Currently, the Cardinals would be the WC team going on the road in a play-in game, and we now have the best record which is just the opposite of last year.

Yeah but they're not going to beat the Cubs in a 5 games series. We beat them last year and they had Lackey.

Im thinking we're not going to be giving up a lot of run in the post season.

Well I think I can say with near certainty that one of the Wild Card teams will be the team that doesn't win the West. Probably the Dodgers but I'm not counting SF out yet. Between the Mets and St. Louis I don't know. The Cards aren't very good and the Mets are a banged up mess and lost Neil Walker for the year yesterday. It's entirely possible that the Cubs win over 100 games, the Nats win 95 and no one else cracks 90. Once you get there all of it is an even bigger mess but I like our chances.

Mets have 18 of their last 24 against either the Reds, Twins, Braves, or Phillies.

I'm rooting for the Dodgers vs Marlins or Cardinals in the WC game.

I don't think the Giants are going to make the playoffs. They have the worst record in MLB since the break so they're playing their worst ball after they built up a pretty big lead pre-break that they burned through in like 3 weeks. They're done. Im thinking the Cardinals and the Mets with the Mets taking the WC game meaning the Cubs will be playing the Mets in the NLDS. Im not worried about the Mets. They can't hit for shit and their pitching has been streaky. Syndergaard and DeGrom have been good but Matz has been rocked hard by the Cubs twice this year. And with our starters were only going to need like 3 runs a game to win. I don't think any of the NL playoffs will take much more than 3 runs to win. Too much outstanding pitching. But the Cubs have been mashing the ball lately and it doesn't seem to matter who pitches. Cubs win the pennant this year. That's all that matters. I don't care about the WS although I would love to win. If we don't win this year we do next year for sure.

Unfortunately the Cubs have done more for the Cardinals this last week than the Cards have done for themselves. With that being said, I think two of the following 4 teams will be in the WC game: Cardinals, San Fran, Mets, and Miami in that order. Regardless of who we play, we will not see the opposing team's #1 until game 3 in the series, and only once in a starting role, which will be huge. Let Washington and the Dodgers duke it out on the other side and wear each other down by going to a five game series and deep into the bullpen. Joe is playing it smart by making sure his players are fully rested heading into the playoffs. I like the Cubbies chances this year!

deGrom pulled up lame in the Mets 6-4 loss to the Marlins last night and has been bad for 3 starts. If he misses any time that leaves Syndergaard and Bartolo Colon as the only healthy starters. After losin Walker for the year and the questionable health of Cespedes I'll be shocked if this team sniffs the WC, easy schedule or no. I had almost counted the Marlins out without Stanton and with tailspin after his injury but now I'm not so sure. Still probably SF and STL for the WC slots but there's still a lot of time.

A whole lot keeps lining up for the Cubs. Should be very exciting time for the Northsiders.

I don't see the Giant making the wild card but they're the team I'd most like to play because its an easy sweep. The Giants have the worst record in baseball since the All Star break. They can't hit shit. The Cubs gave up 14 hits to them in 4 games.

Uh the Dodgers are not going to lose the West man. Isn't going to happen. I just don't want to have to play the Cardinals.

I think if the Cards have to play either the Dodgers or Giants they lose, especially if they play on the road. I know the Cards suck at home but the post season is a different time. I don't think the Cards can take Kershaw or Bum in a one game winner take all.
