Rick Smith said he talked to George, Kevin & Ryan before BJ accepted the job and demanded that BJ will need full control of the roster and the big 3 agreed to that demand. Outside of the obvious linemen that will probably not make the cut, is there another starter that BJ will not want on the team?

Pickens, Everett, the centers, and Scott would be on a short list

Even though he’s a FA I personally don’t think Johnson wants anything to do with Tevin Jenkins.

Tyrique Stevenson might be made an example of though he was maybe starting to get his head on straight. Personally I wouldn't waste any more time on Scott but he's a cheap depth guy if nothing else.

In addition to full control of the roster, I sure hope that also includes player acquisition including both FA and draft.

Not sure why they'd keep Bates, his career seems over with the shoulder injury. Of course Everett.

There aren't really many other guys who it makes sense to just let go. They are either integral players or cheap. Some might get cut in training camp but there aren't going to be a bunch of releases in the spring.

Tyrique is a DOG. He’s gonna be a star, so he’s not going anywhere.

No reason to remove Scott. Just like other offensive playmakers, the terrible coaching more than likely contributed to him not showcasing his talent. We hired Ben Johnson to bring out the best from our young offensive players.

Agreed on both. Maybe Al Harris can get through to Tyrique and get him to play with the swag and confidence but without the stupidity because he is damn good when he is locked in. Scott deserves a chance with someone who is able to design or utilize him for his capabilities, not just square peg/round hole him. If he shows that he just can't get it, then ship him out, but he is cheap and does have some skill.

Stevenson can get abused even when he is locked in, and he will get abused his fair share without above average pressure. His value is in the potential for splash plays, which obviously are huge, because of his instincts and gambling nature. But he's always going to give up some plays. He lacks recovery speed and once he's beat over the top or into the field, he's in trouble.
