So, I play poker on the side of my job and schooling. Pretty decent at it. Make some decent money every year. My question is why do dumb people play poker? Its like they are just playing Bingo. Well, if you want to play bingo. Go play fucking Bingo. Poker is a beautiful game. Im a NL texas hold em type of guy and there is such an art to it. It can be glorious. Even if you lose, you can appreciate a good play by someone. But, I seem to find these jack offs who think every hand is gold. I just had a guy call a 228 pre flop all in with 76 off suit. He won and maybe Im a little bitter, but what kind of mongoloid thinks like this.

Yeah, whenever I play, people ***** that I fold pre-flop too often (when I'm not on a blind). My response is always "well, why throw away cash unnecessarily when I'm not paired, suited, nor have the possibility of pairing a high card?" Sure, that style of play may make me "predictable" at the beginning of the game, but it also buys me a lot of free pots later on once the field is thinned and they think they know my propensities. Not to mention that lower cards gain value later in the game since the likelihood of higher cards being dealt is lessened with fewer cards being dealt out.

I'm not sure it's so much that people are "dumb," or just that they haven't studied the game enough to understand the larger picture as far as strategy is concerned. For instance, I have a friend that plays every fucking hand regardless of how shitty...and sometimes he cleans up doing it; but he clearly has no clue what he's doing.

Yea, I just dont understand why they play the game likes its bingo. Take for instance, I am in big blind and one guy raises to 4 dollars on a 1/2 NL hold em table. One guy calls and I reraise to 20. Both call. Flop comes 8 of spades, 2 of diamonds, and 9 of spades. I fire out 60 dollar bet. One guy calls(this guy was a complete call box so I knew he could have anything). The next guy pushes all in for 90 dollars more. Usually, I would maybe lay jacks down there but these guys were call boxes and I knew the guy behind me wasnt strong because he would have pushed after my bet. It was his move all game. I call. Guy has A 4 of spades. Well, he hits the flush on the river. That is the ultimate bingo play. He didnt have enough money to push two people off the hand. Basically, he thought he made the greatest decision ever. lol Playing bingo. That is all that was.

fuckin hate playing against idiots that don't have shit then beat you on the river without even knowing it.

Morons are harder to play than good players imo.

I play zynga hold em lol. I get accused of slow rolling a lot. I like to let people hang themselves with their own nooses. The thing is, I don't raise a shit ton at the river like some do, but if I know I have a strong hand, I will certainly call someone else's bingo bullshit and take their money and watch them go apeshit

I play in a similar style, the guys I play with a lot know that if I am in a pot you better have a solid hand or I will end up taking the pot. Like you said a lot of times the hand won't even make it to the river because they are folding. It also helps while bluffing, because I tend to muck my cards to keep that reputation going. But nothing sucks worse than losing on the river when someone is in a hand that conventionally they shouldn't have even played.

Dumb people don't know they're dumb.

The real issue here is, why complain about dumb people. You're making money off these "dumb people", aren't you? You should be ecstatic that you aren't playing against hardcore sharks all of the time.

Don't play myself, but the last three years my dad has played in the Senior WSOP, wherever they play in Vegas. He keeps wanting to teach me play better, I just don't have the patience for poker.

When you go on streaks that you lose to every bingo hand. You would vent a little to. I have no problem playing dumb people but I rather play more experience players. Also dumb people don't really have a Tom of money. They blow it to fast. Experience players is where the big money is. I like to play 1000 dollar tables and it's better there. When you go down to the 200 400 is when you hit the mongoloid coty
