I see us going after Joe Johnson or Carlos Boozer. I'd rather have Wade obviously, but I'd also love to have JJ in Chicago.

Nice article and but a little too bias for my taste, even as a Bulls fan. A couple things...
1)The couple mentions of calling Miami a dog crap sports town, while correct, is amateur.
2)The line about Wade leading a Chicago sports revival and being a civic hero is straight taken from that Michael Wilbon video on Wade that came out two days ago.

Not trying to be a dick or anything but i would cut back on the childish insults and plagiarism if you want people to take your articles more seriously. As a Chicago sports fan and a Wade fan, i appreciate the article, i really do.

Also, Rose is not the best PG in the league but he has the potential to be.

I'd much rather the Bulls get someone OTHER than Wade. If you nab him, you neutralize what Rose brings to the table and waste a spot on the floor with a better version of the same type of player. That is, unless Rose gets hella-good at long-range jumpers out of nowhere.

Valid point Lefty but i cant say i agree. You dont waste a spot putting the 2nd best player in the NBA on your team. Their game is very similar, which isnt exactly a bad thing. They both demand attention, which only opens up opportunities for one another. Wade gets the superstar calls and gets to the rim at will. He's the best shot blocking guard in the league and his defense is 1st team. Wade has improved on his range. Rose has as well. I dont see why they both cant improve it along the way.

The only problem is finding a cheap scoring PF to compliment the team. Much easier to add Bosh and find a scoring SG.

i dont understand how anyone wouldnt want Wade on their team

but i think what would easier contract wise and lineup for chicago is to get a big time PF(Boozer,Dirk,or Bosh) and scoring guard to compliment rose(Johnson, what are some other good SGs that could be FAs?Michael Redd?

when I was on the bus in the CHI this guy was talking about how overrated Wade is, it was hard to contain my laughter.

Look, I'm not saying Wade is overrated or bad or anything like that, I just don't think adding him to a team with a similar player already on the squad will increase the likelihood of winning a championship as some other players might. Wade is a great player, and if the Bulls lacked a dynamic scoring threat from the guard position going into this off-season, Wade would be the perfect acquisition (behind LeBron, of course).

But that's not what the Bulls need to be a championship contender, they need a big man that can score a little bit inside. Wade certainly isn't bad or overrated, he's just not what this team needs if they want to be a perennial conference/championship contender. With Wade they'd be more like a perennial 5th-6th seed. Which is nice, just a little less than what I think is possible with this free agent class.

I think Wade is a bit overrated, and he has had some injury issues. And he is too similar to Rose, I don't want him. Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer are good players, but they have Ben Wallace 2.0 written all over them, they are not worth the money they will command, and they will tie the team down with their contracts. Bosh or LeBron for me. I'm not too keen on Amare. He doesn't play defense

why should Wade come to Chicago

1. Favorite team growing up.

2. 2 all-stars already on the team.

3. Mom's cooking.
