I got some struggles here bearthren.

I am trying to understand the logic for 0 1st team reps for Fields. I get it, this topic has come up multiple times, but this shit is infuriating.

You can make the claim that Dalton needs reps if they want Fields to sit. You can state that Nagy does it behind closed doors when media is not able to report on it, etc. That all sounds nice, but it is stupid.

What if, a day prior to week 1, Dalton tears his ACL and is out for the year. Fields will start the game with absolutely limited reps with 1s. I don’t give a shit if he got a rep with Allen or Mooney, etc. give him a series or two every practice with all 1s. What is the downside to that outside of external pressure and reporting around him playing great or better than Dalton? The fanbase is already on the edge of their seats, but this “development” plan is garbage. 0 reps with the stars? Imagine the development opportunities missed with WRs who are actual NFL talents and can separate. He needs to be able to see this in real-time to understand the difference that talent makes. Not saying he doesn’t, but what the shit.

I get it that Nagy wants to protect Fields and make sure he is ready. I know those ******* had a gentleman’s agreement with Dalton, but Jones, Lawrence, Lance, and Wilson are all at least getting time with the 1s to develop. Is this an ego thing? Is this a I am in over my head and can’t show the world that Fields will play better than Dalton during training camp because I am a fucking fraudulent developer thing?

Can anyone provide a valid and coherent reason for Fields not getting reps with the 1s? Even if Fields is not ready yet, state that fact but give the man some fucking reps.

I always thought that Nagy the HC showed a ton of promise. The lies throughout the past few years and the handling of his “development” plan have pissed me off. He says he doesn’t care if he gets fired, he wants to make sure Fields is ready for the future, yet he is an injury or losing season away from starting, so why no reps with the 1s?
