Why so much whitespace?

more awesome!
Each post on this forum has half the screen dedicated for the whitespace required to align the poster's awards in the left part of the post near the user's name. I'd post a pic, but it looks like I first have to upload my image to a separate web page.

I can't find an option to turn off the awards display. It's really lame that feature is on by default. For each screenful of data, I get one or two lines of text, combined with a bunch of spacing.

Do people really have that big of a problem with that? I've only seen 3 people bring it up actually.... So probably not...

I don't really notice all of this "white space" tbh. Maybe i just got used to it and it doesn't even cross my mind.

It's not that big of a deal, you'll get used to it.

Some things never change. Either it's too much or too little. Posters that post in the wrong section too. All that white space, but all you gotta do is read, and make a suggestion somewhere. Bark and bitching, that's for the dogs, we're Bears here.

For your very first post I think you've set the proper tone. "Too much shit to look at"

I've been here for years and I still can't figure out the WHITE BACK GROUND that's blinding me!!! But you don't see me bitching about that do you? (until nowish)

Part of the problem is that the signatures are clearing the float that allows the rest of the post to line up to the right of the div containing the name, avatar, awards, etc. That pushes the sig much lower than it needs to be.

I may have taken the question too literally.

Lack of awards when compared to personal thoughts of self worth can often lead to penis envy type "lashing" out.

(i took a psych class at the CC that covered this)

Actually, that is solid criticism. I'll see if I can find a solution.

There. I adjusted it for the Bears Tribute Skin.

The gap is gone. Maybe I'll do it for the default skin too? IDK. Nobody said anything, and to some people it does look good.

Great job Crys, I like the smaller gap between the post and signature. I never noticed it before though but it's good. This tribute skin keeps getting better and better.

Yeah. Good job CCS guys! I like the tribute skin alot. Sure it is what I was used to, but the solid white was rough on my sensitive eyes. :crying:
