I had seen things about the little Ice Age causing declines with the Vikings colonies so it makes sense that would have happened in Greenland. I also figured they stretched their supply lines too thin going to Greenland. Not to mention the colony in Newfoundland whice was even farther away.

I've read that they were also reluctant to adopt an arctic style diet. There's an ancient dairy farm in Greenland that may have been the biggest in the Americas in its day.
