Assume the following

pace couldnt make a trade up or down
Top 5 qbs are gone
Top 3 LT are gone (sewell, Slater, darrisaw)
Top 2 corners are gone (surtain/horn)
Top 3 WR are gone (chase + 2 bama)
Top 1 TE is gone (Pitts)
5 others are gone (parsons, etc, maybe a few below)

Who is your pick?

OL: vera tucker, Jenkins
WR: Bateman, Moore (miss)
CB: Newsome, Farley
Qb: Mills Mond

Hate taking a wr early but this team really needs speed and playmakers....think it comes down to one of those WR/CB as there are R2/3 OL options that fit at LT (which is what we need)

  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
Trade down to NO or Tenn for them to get CB. Get Jenkins, Cosmi, or Mayfield. Get Mills or Mond in early 2nd round

I'd take vera tucker. Very good OL and play him at OT. Then would have to trade up in 2nd to get the QB they want.

Very realistic approach, and out of that group you have listed there Vera-Tucker is the BPA, but he is a guard, and we are not in need of a guard and at 20 the value is terrible.

For me it is Jenkins, just because I am on the train that says if the top 5 QBs are gone, we need an OT for this year and the future.

Bateman is tempting...

Sam Cosmi all day every day. Give us the left tackle. If he's gone too, which I suspect he will be, then Teven Jenkins. If they are both gone then I would not mind grabbing Alex Leatherwood, Walker Little or Alijah Vera-Tucker.

It's looking like Newsome or Farley would be BPA there under your scenario. That's why I favor a trade-down to the late 1st if possible and take the best of the rest: Bateman, Moore, either corner if available (maybe Samuel even) or one of the second tier O linemen.

vera tucker played LT at USC last year and some think he can play LT in the NFL. Some think he may end up in the top 10-12 picks.

Leatherwood isn't a 1st round talent

Little and others (Brown/Radunz) can be had in round 2/3 as future LT

Wouldn't take Cosmi at 20 (can see him in round 2)

Call for immediate firing of the commissioner because there are 21 players already picked and Bears are on the clock at 20!?!!

View attachment 11512

& for the love of football, NO on Mond...especially in the 1st!! Maybe later 3rd, but he's a project & Bears suck at player development.

Clearly you can't read, comprehend and/or add......try again.

1st Best available OT, 2nd Best OT and 3rd Best Corner! A trade up will set the organization back 10 years! Let the watson dust settle and buy low.

I would take Bateman or Toney. I would say a playmaker for Dalton is an even bigger need in the first round than an OT. In my opinion you can find an OT in the second or even third round due to the depth at that position who could start within the next two years.
