I suppose there's room to discuss Omer Asik, but our season doesn't hinge on how well Asik plays. I was originally pretty high on the idea of Derrick Rose playing for team USA. I figured the comradery alone with future...

Rose is definitely a 2nd tier player in this league without tremendous potential. He is 21 years-old? I am sure he will expand his game... he could defintely end up a top-5 player someday... It will take time though. I like Rose as the leader of this team going forward and I think the Bulls are in good hands.

I agree. He is right at the top of the 2nd-tier players. He definitely could be a top 5 in the league. If anything will tell, it will be how he handles this season having quite a few real deal players on board to help him push this team to victory.

Rose is, and will be, the hardest worker on this team. He didn't on the other hand look very good the last 2 FIBA games. That's ok though because it wasn't in a Bulls jersey & there was a ton of firepower to grab that gold.

Derrick Rose........the sky is truly the limit for him! :bullbang:

As I posted on Doug's article, this is over-analysis. I think that Rose knows his role changes when he steps on an NBA court. He was playing amongst his peers, he deferred in that situation just as he did in the allstar game. He was just glad to be there, another piece of jewelry, another notch under his belt, looks nice on the career resume.

I did ask why the writer showed so much concern with Deng's lack of effectiveness but stated previously that Deng's performances were not important for Deng's confidence or his game. Don't know if I will get an explanation but I would like to know.
