I don't do it as a hobby because you need so many damn tools to do get perfect results. But I have restored a handful of furniture, and built a guitar for a friend out of a block of AAA 20 year old mahogany a few years back.

Currently looking for plans for something in the kitchen...kind of like a pnatry, but not completely closed it...cabinets on bottom, shelves on top...may run to lowe's today and pick up a couple books.

I'm assuming you haven't heard the news yet, but there's this wonderful new invention called the interwebz. I'm sure you could find all the info on woodworking you'd ever need on it. Besides, books are for ****. :D

I figure if we can have 6 threads on how bad Edwin Jackson is, we can also have threads on manly activities...since this board is by and large dominated by men (of course their are outliers: boys, girls, women, queers, ****, homos, wannabes, et al.)
