Just do it in Philadelphia or St. Louis, and let it destroy those cities.

They've been talking about this for a long time, but if it is going to take 5-6 years, a lot of people think we'll all be dead by then anyway.

Sad thing is it'll take about 2 years for just the pregnancy period. But regardless, would be amazing to see.

Probably will result in a miscarriage then.

It does, but realistically its a far difference. Mammoths were hunted by earlier mankind. If anything, we probably hunted them to extinction. If they do this, perhaps this would lay the foundation to bringing back the Dodo bird. Animals we ignorantly killed off. Dinosaurs only option to be witnessed again would be via genetics. Finding stable dna is near impossible. But through genetics, we can manipulate the genes of say an Emu, which would make a raptor. Tho that wouldnt be wise by Any means.

Bring back the Giant Ground Slouth (Megatherium?) and Woolly Rhinoceros (Elasmotherium) too then.

Hell, bring back a Sabre-Tooth (Smilodon).

Can only bring back whats available. They have usable tissue of a Mammoth. This isnt something we can just decide to do with any animal we desire to see. If they were to find usable tissue to extract the dna, then they might do so with other species. And regardless, its an elephant at the end of the day. And if this experiment brings success, than we may have a chance to save what we're killing off ignorantly before they go extinct like tigers and polar bears.
