That's a really unlucky draw for you guys. There's no way you're winning more than one game in this group.
Greece had a relatively good draw though. :)

Would have been more fun if England was drawn into our group instead of Portugal. Storylines in every game! I also would have loved to get drawn into Group E.

As it stands, the US could easily go winless in this WC.

We have to get 3 points from Ghana to even have a chance and we can't let Portugal beat us.....there is no way we can do that.

We probably only get 1 point lol

The U.S. absolutely must take care of Ghana. Ghana, as with most African teams are too unpredictable. This has to be the plan:

1. So take care of the Black Stars.
2. Draw with Portugal.
3. Hope to whomever you pray to that Ghana can come through take care of Portugal.

That will give the US 4, and hopefully put them 2nd behind Germany's 9. Ghana and Portugal settle for 2018 with 3 and 1 point.

My prediction as well.

No North American team will make it out of the group stage this year. Sad because I had high hopes for U.S. this year.

I don't think England is going to make it, Uruguay and Italy for me.
Group C is really unpredictable but Colombia has some really great players, it's hard to count them out.
Ivory Coast, Japan, Greece, they all have a chance I think

Although I said there was a chance the US could go winless, I think that it could also go like this:

Vs. Ghana - I feel that the last two times they've played against each other it's been even with a slight edge to the US, but all the bounces went Ghana's way. Third time's a charm. (W)
Vs. Portugal - Highly dependent on whether or not Ronaldo is feeling up to it. Very inconsistent team who needed playoffs to get into the WC. (D, maybe W)
Vs. Germany - JK knows the team inside and out, but their talent is too much for the US. But, the whole team will get up for this match and could squeak out some points. (L, maybe D)

Germany - 9
USA - 4
Portugal - 2
Ghana - 1

Must win vs. Ghana to even stand a chance though.

yeah that's a tough draw. The interest that was gained by new American fans in the 2010 World Cup definitely won't be returning this time around.

On the flip side, big games can be marketed more, we are also better than that 2010 team
