I keep seeing these commercials for this game and heard it's for nerds. Never played it myself, but these commercials are pretty funny, especially the one with Chuck Norris. What's the big deal about this game?

It's one of the best games ever. Your problem is, it's a MMO, so you're missing the past part, which is playing with a lot of friends who are also new to the game. Sadly, you're like 5 years too late.

You'll be the only n00b on the server. There is nothing left to discover, and your in game currency/items are going to be piss weak compared to the people who are max level with all of the good gear(and they send other gear over to their alt characters).

I played FFXI for a year and a half, and it was addicting. But after a while it just became such a time commitment that it really wasn't worth logging on unless I had four plus hours to kill (which that never happens anymore). I assume WOW is very similar in gameplay, and I understand the attraction to it. That said, I don't know if I ever will do another MMORPG.

*And the Chuck Norris WOW commercial is hilarious.
