A Georgia woman was awarded 3 million dollars from a Cardiologist who did not warn her police officer husband to refrain from strenuous activity after heart tests. The man died from a heart attack during strenuous activity. What was said activity? A threesome with his male friend and woman who wasn't his wife.

My mom had to fight with her doctor (after she narrowly avoided a heart attack by taking a few asprin) to confirm thats what it was because she was a woman. and even then (2000 I think it was) they still believed heart disease was super rare in women.

Not only that, but how stupid does a person have to be to have heart problems bad enough to go to a cardiologist, then the cardiologist runs heart tests, and then you think... well then ok... everythings fine, you know because tests cure thing so I'm going to go home and rev up my heart.

He was probably, obese, smoked 2 packs of heaters a day and was a bacon loving binge drinker as well. Guess the Cardiologist didn't warn him aboot that either.

And some wonder why medical care for specialists is so expensive. Part of it, malpractice insurance.



You think that settlement comes from the doctors wallet? Highly unlikely.



Go ask a cardiologist what he has to pay in premiums for malpractice insurance before he pays for any other business related expense like office space, staff, taxes, etc.
