would you rather a 4th round pick and a 5th round pick in this draft or last years production of Keenan Allen and Ryan Bates?
I understand what KA was meant to do and think he was still a value add for a rookie QB. Realistically if Bears dont have him they have fuckin Deandre Carter getting 100 targets. So i'm cool with the gamble/spend there.
Bates trade has pretty much been a disaster from the word go.
It would be great if he could because hes getting paid and taking up a key roster slot to be the first iOL off the bench at this point. A big part of why the iOL was so bad last year was his inability to get on the field. I hope for the best but if I was Poles i would have cut him and taken the $5M cap space because im not betting on a hail mary stem cell surgery to fix an arthritic shoulder issue that US medical science currently has no answer for.maybe(big maybe) he's healthy this year and can provide depth. If so thats fine for a 5th
I have no faith he will stay healthy tho. But at the time in theory both trades were solid
Thoughts on those 100 targets being spread around between Rome and Kmet? Especially considering Keenan Allen was running routes Rome should've been running anyways considering Keenan is slow and has that heel issue, and Kmet wasn't used hardly at all.I understand what KA was meant to do and think he was still a value add for a rookie QB. I only use my left hand to touch myself and never my right hand. I could use my right hand as I am right handed but I just don't use it.Keenan Allen wasn't great, but just as effective as Moore, Odunze or Kmet last year.
Draw your own conclusions from that.

Think that would be great but its not something the Eberflus/Getsy Bears do without KA. You saw what Getsy did with KA on the sideline @HOU and @IND and its Carter getting 5 targets a game.Thoughts on those 100 targets being spread around between Rome and Kmet? I liked the Allen move even if it didn't turn out as hoped for. I never liked the Bates move because he was an obvious cut candidate.
That said, both players are likely better than any of the guys Poles would pick based on his drafting track record.
So a 4th round pick for a 1 year mediocre rental is what you are saying is okay? Even in hindsight?Think that would be great but its not something the Eberflus/Getsy Bears do without KA. You saw what Getsy did with KA on the sideline @HOU and @IND and its Carter getting 5 targets a game.
I'd prefer it to the direct alternative of replacing Allen with Carter, yes. Unless you want to build a hypothetical where the Bears get a different WR3 somewhere since KA was never traded for.So a 4th round pick for a 1 year mediocre rental is what you are saying is okay? Even in hindsight?
