This is an interesting thought that a Cavs fan brought up, and that is, if the Cavs are competing with say the Bulls/Heat/Pistons instead of the Celtics/Magic for playoff seeds around the allstar break, do the Cavs trade Lebron to make sure they don't lose him for nothing.
They would surely be looking at other team's best players if they're trading Lebron, so Rose and Noah would obviously be included, and probably an expiring contract like Jerome James.
That would leave us with:
PG-Kirk Hinrich
SG-John Salmons
SF-Lebron James/Luol Deng
PF-Tyrus Thomas
C- Brad Miller
Obviously we completely maul Cleveland in that trade. But are we a good team? We won't have the cap space to bring in a max free agent in 2010 anymore, as we would have traded Jerome James' expiring.
So are we good enough of a team to keep Lebron? Or do we just lose Rose/Noah, and watch Lebron walk to Miami?
So do you trade Rose/Noah for Lebron?
