It's actually not really good for the women's league. Since Chicago couldn't stay in WPS (though, they still play, just in a lower division), and then the new investors at what was then the Washington Freedom renamed them to MagicJack (not sure where that came from, but it's kind of a lame name) and then folded......

I'm not really into women's football, but I support WPS and the loss of another team really makes it hard for the league to remain solvent and viable.

Ya, it means that there organizational structure is shaky-at-best, but it also does better the talent pool, so I throw that out there as a silver lining.
