Well Artest will punch someone next game. They have no way of winning unless Dorsey pulls a Gilbert Arenas.

Yao has had so many injuries with his legs and feet, sad but those legs are supporting a very big man.

I don't really understand how a guy who never jumps gets injured so much.

Can't build your team around fragile players though. That's why guys like Gordon who stay healthy have a lot of value in this league.

They should just blow it up in 2010 when Yao and Tmac expire or trade them for something now, that pairing just can't stay healthy enough to compete, otherwise they'd be contenders. Its not just Tmac like everyone said before, Yao has missed a lot of time too.

The human body isn't designed to be 7 1/2 feet tall.

They sure as heck can't trade McGrady, he may not play next year (or ever again) and if he does play next year, it will start at mid season and probably be really poor. I guess they could trade him to a team looking for salary relief. That's probably possible since he has an expiring deal, and he may even be eligible for insurance money (though unlikely).

I don't see them trading Yao, but it wouldn't be the worst move. I don't think you can win with Yao, as P03 said, you can't win with fragile players. Yao is hurt every year, he can't take the pounding, his body is simply too big. He never has a fully healthy season, and it's not going to get better as he ages.

Yao is the Rockets owners cash cow. He will be retained.

I agree Tmac's main trade value is his contract. In a down market, a $20 million expiring will be very valuable at the deadline. I am sure at the very least they could get VC to fill in the production they lost. NJ is looking to clear 2010 cap space.

If they choose to rebuild Yao will certainly get them similar trade value to what Minnesota got for KG. It won't make them a better team but they have no bad contracts and will have a lot of cap space in 2010 also. Personally, I would go for one more run with Artest, Yao and a VC type. But they have been failing for 4 or 5 years now and its ended every year in injuries so I wouldn't blame them for ending the experiment.

This sucks that was becoming a good series. What I don't understand is Yao's reaction. He just shrugged it off and said he is moving on. What? Last year he cried because he might miss the Olympics, this year if they beat the Lakers they have a chance so he should be crying again. I would trade Yao he doesn't seem to care either, doesn't matter if he tried to play.

Houston is dominating the Lakers to start game 4. The Rockets are all toughness, grittiness, energy, and teamwork right now.

Yeah, they are playing a tall team and their starting center is 6'6. I always liked Houston and if they could stay healthy they'd be contenders but their role players are just so tough and Aaron Brooks looks good.
