Interesting.

With life expectancy going up during the last century, I always wonder, how much higher will it be by the time all of us are in our 70's and 80's and 90's? Will there be a large amount of seniors in their 100's?

Right now when we see someone that's in their 100's we think "wow, that's old". Will that still be the case in 50-60 years? Or will being 100 be the new 80 or 90?

As for wanting to live forever, right now I'd say "sure". But when I'm older, say 80 or 90, I'd probably say "no". I think when you're that old you just accept death.

That's the thing. If they could actually stop aging then I'd be cool with it. I wouldn't mind being 150 years old but have a 27 year old's health and body.

I wouldn't want to actually look 150 years old, you'll fuckin look like Skeletor...

I read somewhere a long time ago that the human body is actually capable of living to 130 years old or some number like that. The reason why nobody lives that long is because of diet and the pollution that we breathe in.

Not sure how accurate of a statement that is but take it for what its worth I guess.

Good News Everyone!!!

In reality, our bodies are designed to live forever. They have the ability to regenerate and continue working, the problem is, something in our bodies Forces us to die.

Look at after you die. The body continues to grow hair and nails. Cells continue to reproduce despite the fact we are dead. For an unknown reason, our bodies that keep us alive, eventually kills us off.

Fucking commies :D

I hope by the time we're 80 a Fountain of Youth type machine is created, which will turn us 20 years old again or however. That would be the shit.

No thanks, I would rather live 60-70 years and die. I don't even want to live till I'm 80 let alone 150. Aging and dieing is nature. It happens to everyone. I'll die when I die. I don't need something giving me 70 more years no thanks.

There are a lot more people in their 70's/80's than there were 20-30 years ago. If people born in the 1930's and 1940's are living to their 70's/80's at a higher rate, do the baby boomers start living longer? Maybe to their 80's with regularity? What about Generation X? Generation Y? Are kids who are born in the last 5 years or so going to shoot 100, under normal circumstances, with ease?

Side note: Scientist think they'll be able to download your memory onto a device in the future and you'll be able to live within a machine forever. I think its a great idea personally. Think of all the young kids who die early because of disease and terminal cancer, I won't be their physical body, but you'll always have your loved ones around.

lol when?

lol he's talking about the bible but honestly that may either be a hyperbole or i think the people back then used a different time system

btw wtf at this quote:"And the first person to live for 1,000 years could be less than 20 years younger."

that is absurd
