It's 2011, and people still don't get tech security. Yeah, I know there are some people who will NEVER get it, but those who don't bother trying is what makes me laugh.
They will download a program/app that apparently makes their phone or computer more secure for them, but in fact, it's malware of some sort! LOL iTunes condones this information sharing, thats how they datamine and make money, and thats just one example of many, but next to facebook, itunes maybe the worst one of them all.
And then everyone is like, hell if I care, until something seriously fucked up happens to them. My niece is 17(with no credit card), some 33 year old woman got her information and if my niece wasn't a minor, she would have to claim bankruptcy on the BS that happened to her, and my niece isn't exactly computer illiterate, just an app addict. I do speak from experience and not BS stats that you read about in the scare stories that try to sell you Lifelock or Norton.
The bottom line is, when someone tells you that your privacy is being breached, don't brush it off like nothing will happen. Just be aware, and don't cave into the hub companies demands because they have shiny object, drool drool. You wont miss out on anything other than a few placebos.
