Since Derrick Lee is gone who would be your top 3 players to replace him. Would you go with Colvin who has experience playing 1st base in college, or would you go with a veteran power hitter like Adam Dunn or a player like Micah Hoffpauir who his natural position is playing 1st base. Any other suggestions or players you have on your mind other then those 3 players that I have mentioned above if you have then please mention them, and in your opinion what qualities do you look in a first basement is it good power, or good defense. Now I might not be into baseball that as much as you guys, matter of fact I am new to being a baseball fan in general. So if I get a couple of things wrong on the information that I have provided you would understand why lol / any thoughts? discuss.

I would first try to sign Dunn to a reasonable contract, if that does not work. Move Colvin to 1B and play Jackson in RF. Jackson is not ready but the Cubs are getting younger so that wouldn't hurt. Or, the Cubs can sign Crawford to play RF and move Colvin to 1B. I would LOVE that move but that move won't happen.

NO to Hoffpauir to 1B.

Actually like waldo's idea of Crawford. Recently, Aramis has been saying that he'll stay if he has good players around him, so we need to get some high-calibur player.

Mark Prior says hi.

My top options for first are Dunn, Colvin, Pena. I'd love to get Crawford though. LOVE IT.

Crawford is not a RFer. He can play LF and some CF, but I see the Angels signing him.

If only waldo hadn't gotten my hopes up for the possibility of getting him.

He has said he will not play CF. If he refuses to play RF, put Soriano in RF. Sure he wouldn't be very good out there, but he can make up for it with the bat. Plus, Crawford has amazing D in LF, so I think it would all level out.

Ya, sounds good to me. Only if we can't get Dunn though.

I would go after Adam Dunn as well. Colvin would be my next option, but I would not play MH at all if I could avoid it.
