Your Tattoos

So, post/talk about your tattoos.

I start this thread because I am getting a very large back tattoo in June. Or rather, June, July and August because it will be three 3 hour sessions, before my tattoo artist moves to Alaska!

I will post pics of it as it progresses. It is going to be a unique medieval dragon, colored blood-red, fading to black and is inspired by the Doomsday character from the Superman comic series. Aka, crazy looking bones sticking out of its face/back. It will go from shoulder blade to shoulder blade and half way down my back.

I have an armband tattoo that is pretty simple that I got years ago as a 21 year old. It's the 4 symbols of Led Zeppelin, wrapped around my right arm.

And if anyone has a great design/tattoo idea based off of the band TOOL, I would love to see it. I want to get something regarding them inked on my body, but I haven't seen much that I like, aside from some abstract Lateralus-inspired art, and I am sure as hell not getting TOOL inked on my body

Dont have any personally. I wouldnt have minded getting one, but Im to damn picky and can never decide what I would really want. A dragon would kick ass. But then what style? As a Sagittarian, thought about that at one point, but then I realized Im also considered an Ophiuchus. And while I define my sign, Im also right on with the other. Thats the kind of shit I go through lol. But I know I dont want something massive, nor would I want many. I want just one that'd have a strong meaning for sure.

I have 7 tattoos. I haven't gotten one in almost 2 years, I got these mostly when I was between 18-19. Anyway here we go in order that I got them.

1.) Initials on my left bicep. Had this done the day I turned 18. I wish I hadn't of gotten them because that is prime space on the body for "work" to be done and I wasted it on dumb initials.

2.) Livestrong written across the top of my chest in normal text. My brother and I got this done for my dad on father's day and showed him. It was pretty moving to see how much he cared about us doing that for him.

3.) Chicago Bears "C" Logo on my right forearm. I proudly wear it for all to see. I got this one done in Hawaii 2 months after I graduated high school.

4.) Sublime sun. Great band, awesome art work, I always liked it so I got it on my right bicep. Once I had this done I realized how dumb it was to get smaller initials when I could have true work there. It's prime real estate on the body, the arms.

5.) RIP tattoo for my dad on my left forearm.

6.) Mustache tattoo on my left index finger. If I hold it up over my lip, it's a mustache. Saw it in some movie ages ago and wanted to do it, so I did. It hurt like a motherfucker too because that area of the body is so sensitive.

7.) The #7. Small, number under my right elbow. It indicates my 7th tattoo. I am going to get it changed to read SE7EN like the David Fincher film about the 7 deadly sins with Pitt/Morgan Freeman in it. I got this to "get" because I couldn't think of anything when my GF got her first one. I knew I could have something over it easily so that is why it wasn't a big deal.

Some great stuff there, Rush... thanks for sharing! I like the emotional connection you have with most of your tattoos. But of course, #6 has me sooooo fucking curious. You don't happen to have a picture of yourself, holding up your mustache finger as a mustache, do ya?

Yeah, this was about 3 days after I got it done. This is from 2 years ago, I now sport a heavier frame and uncontrollable neck hair which is trying to be a beard so desperately.

Hahahaha, great stuff... and I love the picture. Not one of those hairy mustaches, but the simple and sophisticated ones... kind of like on the peanut dude!

You should be telling ladies to hop aboard the mustache ride to heaven any chance you can get
