My favorites are hard to narrow to 5, but my best guess would be...

Saving Private Ryan
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Pulp Fiction
Terminator 2
The Departed

Honorable mentions:
Braveheart, Inception, Apocalypto, Gladiator, Godfather 1 and 2, Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas, Forrest Gump....I'll stop there.

I'll also list a few Korean films which are IMO right up there and could be in my top 10 as well:
Oldboy
The Brotherhood of War (Tae Guk Gi)
No Mercy (Yongseoneun Eupda)
I Saw the Devil

Scarface
Blood In Blood Out
Pulp Fiction
Gladiator
Training Day

Honorable Mention:
Godfather1,2.
American Psycho

"I may be white on the outside, but I'm brown on the inside..To the Bone."

LoL. Kinda cheesy in parts, but in my opinion a pretty good film with a great story. My wife always makes fun of me when I talk about it. She thinks it's a terrible movie. I'm like, go :sweep:

Lay off the Notre Dame Kool-Aid, dude.

What?
Ha.

It's one of my favorite movies ever.......how does that mean I'm on Notre Dame Kool Aid? I'm not saying it's breathtaking cinema...I clearly stated the list was of my favorites.

Try reading.

This has to be the hardest "favorites" list for me. Off the top of my head right now, I'd say:

1. Gladiator (Russell Crowe)
2. Gangs of New York
3. Brave Heart
4. Rocky (The first)
5. Terminator 2

I'm sure there's movies worthy of my top 5 that have just slipped my mind at the moment, but those 5 hold a special place in my collection regardless.

Honorable mentions:

Kick Ass
Star Wars(all of them)
V For Vendetta
My Cousin Vinny
Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Star Wars(my younger days)
Inception

Saving Private Ryan
Die Hard

probably alot more that could be on this list..just 5 great ones that come to mind

I put ghostbusters there because it was my childhood. I was obsessed with the franchise. I had the movies, toys, proton pack(with trap),egon costume.

It was my life. Still love it today(have blue ray version)

never heard/seen miller's crossing

You grew up in the 80's, so did I....though I was more of a Blues Brothers guy in HS...lol.
