What are your personal top 5 rivalry teams and why?

Mine:

01) Celtics - PLAYOFFS 2009!!!
02) Heat - Current main rival!
03) Knicks - Battle of the cities. Which is the number one basketball city. As seen in Nike battlegrounds!
04) Pistons - Close to Chicago and because of the history. Kicked Jordan and the Bulls out three straight times.
05) Lakers - Just because they´re a good team every single year and I always want the Bulls to beat them.

LoL, Bullseye demamded a reason why for your top 5 Bulls rivalrys.
Why Fisch, Why???????????:dunno:

My favorite alltime rivalries are as follows and I don't give a shit about the spelling.

#1. The late 80s Pistons because of the physical and mental torture they caused the Bulls which ultimately motivated and drove the Bulls to the top making them stronger....I credit the Piston rivalry for giving the Bulls the strength and will to win three titles in a row....The Bulls getting defeated every year by the same team in the playoffs really pissed MJ and company off.....That rivalry may be the most personal as these two teams seemed to really hate each other...it was outright ugly dirty basketball.

#2 The 1990s Knicks.
They 2 were physical grueling matchups and unforgettable playoff series that seemed like a real war almost every year until the late 90s. Very sinilar to the Pistons series although we had the Knicks number for the most part in the end. Another reason is I loved to see Starks little whining during and after the KnicKs annual ass kicking.

#3 The 1990s Pacers because the Jordan-Reggie matchups werevery entertaining to see.
Plus we also faced them so much in the regular season every year. Can't forget how the Pacers almost destroyed our second 3-peat dreams in the eastern conferance finals 7 game series of 1998....We barely got past them as they matched up very well with us.

#4. Of course the current Miami Heat is on my list for more than enough reasons to fill up page after page...I'm sure my reasons are the same as most here.....Just simply can't stand them and they arre the only true threat that may possibly keep us from getting out the East.....This rivalry may move up in my list in time......I enjoyed the pre-Rose era playoff series against the Heat, especially when we swept them...

#5. The Boston Celtics for sure but I think this rivalry is going to wind down soon in the near future because there core is almost done with there career....then main reason they are on my list is because of the 09 7 game playoff series....that may be one of the best series shootouts of all time.....B.G vs. Ray....great stuff.

Yeah, that tops the list by a mile. OKC is interesting...but I would put Indiana and Boston on the list ahead of OKC.

Golly Hue, I agree with you brother.
I would put Indiana & Boston ahead of OKC as far as Bulls rivalry goes too.
My reasoning is simple.
Its because we see these teams much more every season because we are in the same conference...Am I right Hue...huh?....am I right???

Wow, I know somthing, I said somthing right..isn't it cool bro?
Is it up to your standards your majesty?
If we by some slim chance happen to face the Thunder in the finals, would that move OKC higher on your list Mr. Hefner sir?

That's called a humble serious question in case you didn't know.

1. Heat - Obvious reasons: They knocked us out last year, Wade's a ******, lebron's arrogance.
2. Pacers - Goes back to the Jordan/Miller days and that yellow has always drawn my ire.
3. Celtics - Never liked Rondo, even when he was at UK. The playoff series when Rose was a rookie rekindled the heat I have against them.
4. Knicks - Mainly because their fans and the media make them out to be something they aren't and I just hate New York.
5. Hawks - They've shown that they are a formidable opponent when they're healthy. I don't hate them, but I would consider them a rival for the Bulls.

Heat - all of the above stated reasons. They are our main rivals and a possible eastern final. Hard to like that team.

Pistons - perhaps not so much these days. Historically though.

Lakers - Not too sure why but I just dislike them. Always have. They are always around the top and therefore a contender. And I like the clippers.

Spurs - not for any particular rivalry reason. I just can't stand them. A few of their players just rub me the wrong way.

Right now - OKC - If we manage to succeed and overcome Miami, the thunder will be the team standing in the way of a championship. Dangerous.

1) Heat - Pretty obvious
2) Celtics - 2009 series still needs to be revenged.
3) Pacers - Last year that stage was set
4) Knicks - Any time both teams are good, they kinda revive the rivalry.
5) Poop - Poop is poop.

Heat for obvious reasons...

Pacers because they're delusional

Thunder because if we ever make it to the Finals, they'll likely be there too. Westbrook vs. Rose in the battle of the most athletic PGs.

Boston because Rondo is a dick

Idk what to say here for the last spot actually. Either Knicks or Hawks I guess.

Just my personal view...

All Eastern Conference teams of course.

Current Top 5:
1. Heat
2. Celtics
3. Pacers
4. Knicks
5. Magic

All-Time Top 5:

1. Knicks
2. Pistons
3. Celtics
4. Pacers
5. Hawks

Current
The current rivals are pretty obvious so not much needed in telling why...because it's still happening now and we all know why each belongs there.
---------

All-Time
As for the all time list. Knicks in my book have always been our number one. So many battles in playoffs along with many tough outs in the regular season through the mid 80's & all of the 90's. The Knicks rivalry still exists no matter how good or bad the teams are. It's held up through time.

The divisional rivals need no major explanation. Pistons and Pacers have been very much top enemies even if you don't include all the tough series' in the past.

The Celtics have been one due mostly to the early Jordan career days. The Bulls made some of the Celtics trips to the Finals a little rougher and the C's earned their way each time. Plus the old Bird vs Jordan headline always arose.

As for the Hawks, 'Nique and the boys were always intense game for our Bulls also.

That's how I see it, I guess.
